So lets be honest...everyone was calling for Khan to fight a proper banger and he did. He fought the hardest hitter at 140.

Also many posters here on ESB said as soon as Maidana catches Khan he will be gone (I was one of them).

Give the guy respect...you pretty much say Maidana isn't a really good fighter. Well that's crap.

My question is 'Who should Khan have fought then?'

You should acknowledge Khan took on the toughest challenge possible at the time and in 2011 will take on the other tough challenge at 140 (ala the winner of TB/DA).

    Geez some ppl!

Why have you put so much emphasis on the word 'his' and putt it in quotation marks???

Are you questioning what sex Amir is?

I can't tell you how many times I've seen the "P" comments in regards to Kahn's ethnicity.

Don't try to tell me he himself isn't hated because he is.

Did you just call Kotelnik a top FIFTEEN light welter?

    Shut the **** up noob!

He beat Maidana and on most people's scorecards beat Alexander. So is Alexander, who stopped Witter and Urango, also a top fifteen light welter as he was lucky to get a W against Kotelnik? Who exactly is in your top 10? And just to clarify, Khan SCHOOLED Kotelnik. Again, for the cheap seats, STFU noob.

Sorry but maidana is limited. It is as plain as the morning sun. Marches forward to apply pressure and trys to bang you out. Stamina issues etc. Deffo someone like cotto would have finished Kahn in the 10th..

Anyhow, there are numerous reasons why the lad gets the hate he does. the fanboys are just part and parcel of it. He is their hero remember.:rofl

One of the biggest reasons is Khan himself and as soon as he opens that mouth it is a PR disaster. You see he is far from humble:

"I've been hit by a guy who has 29 wins, 27 knockouts, and I've taken his best shots. That's why I'm such a seller at arenas and I'm such a great fighter - because I fight with heart and I've got skill. "

Such a great fighter:think Depends what your perception of greatness is I suppose.

I love threads like this, I personally have disliked Khan and as a british fan i always wanted him to get knocked out and exposed, this happened and Khan has responded like a real fighter and fought the best he could and won. Had Maidana won this fight he too would of had more respect from the Khan haters on here, lets bear in mind that a lot of you said Khan had no chance, now Maidana isn't good enough, what a joke.

There are plenty of american fanboys too, alexander for one is going to be exposed badly about Bradley next month and if Alexander fought Maidana, in my opinion wouldn't be as close as Khan's fight, looking forward to seeing Bradley Khan next year. I agree with some of the posts on here you can't claim Khan to be potentially P4P, without seeing this match-up and a Maidana Rematch, lets wiat to see if he can cut it.

Khan haters outweigh Amir fanboys at least 5:1. I don't even see many annoying fanboys around anymore, with Khan, many matured (you can't say that of all fighters' fanboys). Some haters might have a problem with the passionate Khan backers, others dislike the personality, but many, many simply have issues with Amir's nationality, race, religion... and chin. They took a major hit this weekend.

There is absolutely nothing special about Kotelnik.....NOTHING! And I already stated the other jr welters are nothing special either. The division is actually weak in elite talent. It has several guys who are all pretty good.

We as boxing fans will get some competitive and fun fights, but NONE of these guys have done anything or shown anything that would make them special.

I just think that a lot of fans see what a huge threat Khan is to their favorite fighters and are startin to really concerned.
