Fair enough, if he does think that about Salita then he's a bit deluded but I could understand if he did because Seckbach has a Twitter too and he follows the **** Khan writes. And you do know that it wasn't Tim Bradley who was on the Twitter, right? Saying he'll KO them is what he does. It's his personality. If he's just going to say he'll fall over them then people won't buy into the guy. That's just his confidence. And people shouldn't bash him because of that.
yeah Andre Berto told Tim about it and Timmy laughed about it. Khan was going to war with a imposter atsch. Yeah listen i respect confidence...just wanna see the talk backed up. JMM isn't the fight i wanna see tbh.
Of course Khan was wrong. I never said he was right. I just said Salita was a GOOD professional. I never said Salita could compete with the top dogs. Khan did it to keep Seckbach happy. He Isn't stupid. And Khan would obviously big up his own opposition. It's only normal for a guy to do that. He's not going to say he was some bum ****. Khan said that Kotelnik was his toughest fight even though he won and people were going on about how Kotelnik was a paper champ all made for Khan. Well Khan kept to his word about Kotelnik and Kotelnik proved what he is.
Hamidi did not outclass Murray It was a scrappy affair and a shitty performance from Murray. But he lacked a bit of motivation after Hamidi only stepped in on the morning after the original opponent pulled out. Should still have done better though. Yeah, Lee McAllister did give him some problems but Murray hunted him down and stopped him. The war with Buckland was a one-sided war. Murray was ****ing him up with body shots and Buckland had no quit in him. It wasn't as if Murray went life and death with Buckland.
Mate I know where you're coming from. And to be honest, I don't want to see the matchup either. Fair enough, JMM has got a chance but we know how Khan will play his cards in the fight. I'd like to see him in with a legite 140 pounder next or I can't defend him anymore.
Let's be honest here, you could give me a breakdown of why I'm wrong instead of being stupid and saying I'm talking ****. The other posters seem to do it, I don't know why you can't.
yeah gotta agree mate. I don't wanna see JMM overmatched again. Yeah as you say has a chance but...it's hard to see him at this stage beating a bigger faster stronger man. His stock will fall with hardcore fans...but to casual fans it will look brilliant...Khan's not groomed to be a hardcore fans ATG...he's groomed for the mainstream. Shame...but he ain't only fighter to be groomed that way.
I was just pointing out the obvious. Why would I repeat what's already been said by everyone else who took umbrage with the statement? Anyway, if that's what you want, then here ya go: Salita may be a "good fighter" in terms of fighting for the Northern Area title, but he is most obviously not a "good fighter" in terms of challenging for a world title belt. And in the context of this thread that is what we are talking about: world level operators (not the elite of the division, just the guys in and around the top 15 or so) I liked the way you tried to change your statement into "good professional", as if you were saying that he was some kid who liked to get into the gym everyday for training. That's not what you said in your original post. You said you thought he was a "good fighter", but in terms of the LWW division at world level he is not. In fact at that level, he's totally ****.
Bro, when I said Good fighter, I never said he was world class, as I've stated in some of the posts above. I compared him to the likes of John Murray. Surely that gave you an idea of where I thought he was at. I never said he was world class, Just a GOOD fighter. Nothing more. I never thought he was a good fighter at world level. He's a bum at world level. My original thought was that he's a GOOD fighter and it just looks like people thought it the wrong way when I said that. Hopes that cleared up though.
Murray would have way too much for Salita also. Notice you keep banding his name about because he's upset your lover in the past.
Tbf, if someone is a "good fighter" we assume they are fringe world class at the very least. Top 15 or so as Mac says. If you made it clear that you thought he'd be a good fighter at domestic level or something than that wouldn't have resulted in a couple of pages spent arguing the definition of a good fighter
