Stating that SOME Muslim men treat women badly is hardly stereotypical. It's a fact.

Stop being a left wing flag waver and actually read what people are saying, and think before you post.

    :hi:

Darni that wasn't the point I was making. All I did is throw out a comment letting him know I didn't respect his opinion on Khan.

beeston I am most definately not a 'left wing flag thrower'

If you read what he has said in the past then you will know where I am coming from. I will not be dragging his posts up so believe me or not, it's up to you. I didn't inten to make this into a race argument so my apologies

You should keep your bull**** musings on myself as a poster to a PM, as this thread has now taken an ugly turn thanks to yourself.

You just inferred that my supposed 'racism' was the source of my view that Khan is thick, and so is this opinion. (By the way, I love how you've changed your stance on this, that could almost have been construed as hypocritical).

As Widdy made reference to, that is no more sensible than me suggesting that Khan's opinion is because his race often takes a disparaging view towards women. I mean, 2 + 2 = 6 right? Didn't you come to that conclusion?

    I'm done with this bull****.

I don't have a problem with Khan not wanting women to box. I don't think there is anything sinister in that opinion though. But at the end of the day, he comes from a conservative culture that subjugates women. Its no surprise that he thinks this way. Its like saying.....women shouldn't vote because they're not as intelligent as men.....women shouldn't box because they're not as durable as men.

If these bitches wanted to fight men, then fine, plenty of logical reasons why that shouldn't happen. But if some 'ho want to fight other ho's, I don't see any problem with that. As long as the fit ones do it topless and the mingers wear a burka, its all good. Me being a non-misogynistic kind of 21st century enlightened guy, I don't have a problem with the weaker sex wanting to face-off in between sessions of knitting and housework.

Just to let you all know, BBC ran a poll whether women should be allowed to box and the result was

    60% yes
    40% no.

Just thought id update everyone on public opinion.

I myself, wouldnt care if they did. If they want to, let them.
I also back amir's personal point of view. He was asked for his opinion, and he gave it. Simple as.

Me too. What's the point of seeing one or two skilled women boxers beating up a load of bums? Let's face it, that's what women's boxing is.

I think Khan has been (more than) a bit naive and undiplomatic but he's just speaking his mind, surely thats better than him just blandly toeing the line and reciting a Warren prapared press release?

Yup. Let the boy speak his mind.

Not read any of the other bull**** on this thread but gather TFFP's been accused of racism? No way is TFFP racist and whoever inferred so is a ****.

At the end of the day whether its competetive or not they deserve the right to compete, there is no solid reason why not. There were divisions in mens boxing which were entirely predictable also. Womens boxing is nothing new..why not, nobody is forced to watch it. Nobody watches that sport where they throw a bowl down a strip of ice and somebody polishes the ice!
