    So true.

Sad thing is, I'd really love to see Khan dig deep and pull it out. But he will be able to follow a safe gameplan without too much hassle when he's being matched with people he will many stylistic edges over and, with his size and footspeed, will be able to outmanouver then with relative ease, or outpunch them without much fear of being hurt (as in the Paulie fight)

Marquez will be beat to the punch and forced to chase Khan. He won't have any time to get his timing down in his counter punches and will be in with a punchers chance. Marquez is a fantastic boxer, but he's getting on. I just feel he's being 'sacrificed' to boost Khans profile. A fight with Katsidis is a much more appealing fight in terms of potential entertainment and them both being near their optimum performance weight (Marquez has clearly made the adjustment to 135 well) and Khan Vs Maidana is tw perfect fight for Khan to adjust to fighting the best fighters at 140.

Maidana could easily be marketed as a monster by Sky. Khan would have the, ahem, sole ownership of his title (until the WBA make another interim title fight ) and although he's prehistoric in comparison to Marquez, he's bigger, comes with the intention of sparking his opponent, seems to recover well but more than anything, he's beatable. It's a fight for Khan that no one could pick holes in, no one could complain about....if he were to beat Maidana convincingly he'd cement himself in the top 3 IMO. If he were to go on to beat Ortiz, even moreso.

Let Bradley and Alexander fight, but fight the other best. Khan needs to usethese next two or three fights to learn, adapt and really gain some momentum. In a division as hot at this, I just don't think he's being well prepared to face the best in this division. He hasn't really had to dig deep since Prescott, and of course he never pulled through. He's been faced with a profession of non-punchers since. He's jumped in with one now, but of course he's smaller, and let's be honest, he's a super feather who, being hard as nails and with a massive ring IQ, has matured into a force at 135. Khan is fighting a much smaller guy than himself.

Read my posts dickwad, i'm not really a fan of Khans but I am a massive fan of JMM who I think could take Khan to school...Frankenstein Maidana wouldn't.

I don't blame Khan for wanting to fight JMM rather than Maidana but what pisses me off is all that **** between him and Bradley on twitter. He says he wants to fight the best LWW's in the world then a week later we hear that he's fighting Marquez because it he's a bigger name.

If he's not going to fight Bradley, Maidana, Alexander, etc then why doesn't he just shut the **** up!

While I think Ortiz would beat Maidana in a rematch, Maidana still won, and for that I feel he deserves a shot at Khan or the other top 140 fighters. The interesting thing about the fight is the fact that he knocks dudes out. No matter how one-sided the fight is in Khan's favour, there will always be the feeling that one shot, even in the 12th round could give Khan his second loss. Maidana will be swinging wildly and missing his big shots but what if? The haters will be praying for an explosion which probably won't happen, but there is that chance. You make a good point about the others in the division but Alexander and Bradley are considered the top two already, and if reports are to be believed they will fight each other next.

im fairly indifferent to khan - i would like him to do well if he fought competitive matches. and i think he would probably beat marquez, like others on here - and i think that annoys people as much as me, because we see it as somewhat of a 1-sided matchup.

but is my memory wrong, but wasnt it about 2 or 3 years ago that khan was asking for the winner of marquez pacquiao? i most certainly could be wrong (this was pre-prescott). and people were deriding him for wanting to fight the top tier and abusing him for being arrogant. if im correct, doesnt this derision of khan wanting this fight just show how expectations of him have changed so much. it wasnt so long ago he was fighting ***an and people were just wanting him to fight someone with class. now he has a belt people won't accept anything less than him fighting a top-division name.

it seems like khan has a hard job in pleasing the boxing fans, including me. i guess it is because no matter how far his career progress is, his hype train seems to always be proceeding it which gets peoples back up.

lets be honest, 5lbs isnt a great deal, and khan was a lightweight recently.

however, i would prefer him to fight maidana because it is a relevant fight, although im sure khan would win. i think we all believe he would prob beat marquez but thats testament to khans ability, and that marquez is now campaigning above his ideal weight, which is actually his fault.

As i said Khan can fight who he want's and do it how he want's to. But when he does'nt get the respect he "think's" he deserves, he can't complain

He should be fighting Maidana. But I can see why they will push for this fight. Less of a risk IMO and good business.

When you see the stick Khan is getting for this potential fight, it really puts into perspective just how much of a **** take Marquez vs Mayweather was.

Meh Dinamita is showing signs of age now in my opinion.

He faced was badly bruised from Diaz jab, Diaz not being someone who has a particularly good jab and someone with a very short reach.
One thing Khan does have is a great jab and I think JMM would be eating them all night. At this stage I also think he can only fight in burts and Khan can bring the higher tempo, the 2nd fight against Diaz he wasnt particularly busy with Diaz not being quite the pressure he was th first time, but he looked cream *******d at the end.

From a big JMM fan. Interesting to see that ******* has been blanked..

Part of the reason people will discredit the fight now is having seen that fight. Marquez wasnt even in it, didnt win a round.

Since then he's only fought Diaz who isnt all that really all that anyway, bit of a doughboy, got outclassed by Paul Malignaggi
