If Khan really wants to be seen as a legit Mayweather challenger, he would fight and dominate Ortiz. Then he could say, "See? I beat his ass fair and square without any controversy" and he would have a fight under his belt against a big punching and solid welterweight. But it probably makes too much sense to happen.
I think it's a bad style matchup for Khan. At 147, Ortiz is a far stronger puncher than Maidana, who came very very close to getting Khan outta there. I think Ortiz Kos him. It would be a great fight foir Ortiz to take but would be a dumb ass move by Khan imo.
I think Ortiz stops Khan. Too big, powerful and hard hitting, hes not the kid Khan fought in the amateurs
it would be a really interesting fight, ortiz's style can give khan a lot of problems but khan should use movement and speed to stay at the range he likes. I still think its a bit of a risky fight for khan if he doesnt want a loss in order to get the mayweather fight but a win over ortiz would be huge in making that fight happen
always thought this would be a great fight and always predicted Ortiz, he has the perfect style to crack Khans chin, much more polished than Maidana, quicker and hits just as hard + Khan doesn't have enough to make him respect him and Khan is often wide open.
I think Ortiz could come forward, and take Khan's best punches. Also Ortiz hasn't been in the ring with a guy his size or bigger in a while.
Ortiz wud stop khan been w8in for this fight for over a year and when it comes out i'm putting huge money on it. He'd have to fight like he did berto and amir loves to come and fight and will definitely get tagged in the exchanges as well. And i know a lot of u wud disagree but ortiz hits harder than maidana
I would love to see this fight. I think Ortiz could put some serious hurt on Khan if he can get past the jab.
It would be a competitive fight. Ortiz would have his moments with the inside fighting against the ropes, but in the end, Khan's speed and jab will take the decision
Ortiz was like a stick in the mud vs Floyd. It's only going to be worse against a guy that is longer, equally fast, and who throws in much greater numbers.
