Khan/Ortiz vs Canelo

    I don't see these fights ever happening. Alvarez last few fights have been above 147.. He will probably be at 154 for a year or two, then move to 160.. His frame is too big for welter. The guys back is probably as wide as khan and ortiz side by side...

    Hit the nail on the head. Speed kills, bottomline. Would be an interesting fight with Canelo though because he's so calm in the ring and seems so solid all around.

    canelo wont be a ww in two years..he will be a jmw or mw, which doesn't bode well for him because he is not that tall...

    I completely agree. I'm looking at this fight as a purely hypothetical match up because it's doubtful to actually happen.

    You say Khan/Ortiz will fill out to welterweight, which is fine. But how do you figure Canelo will be a welterweight by then? Canelo has been fighting at lightmiddle of late and he has more filling out to do than Khan or Ortiz. He is a good few years younger than the two you mentioned. Canelo will probably be fighting at 160 in a few years time.

    Canelo won't stay at welter long enough, he seems destined to be the undisputed middleweight champion of the world.
