It is strange considering Roach is so vaunted for his gameplans tailored to each opponent. Perhaps they focused more on conditioning this camp and presumed they'd fight him they way they had twice previously? Maybe a bit of arrogance crept into camp considering the run they've been on?

I didn't really pay attention to the 24/7 build ups to be honest, too much American schmaltz for me to stay tuned in.

I get the impression his "advisors" saj etc probably don't help.

If left to his own devices yeah he'd be cocky and a bit arrogant but there seem to be a fair few yes men blowing smoke up his backside. Can only contribute to the bubble he seems to live in sometimes.

  3. I think both Pacquiao and Roach have lost their edge.

Three easy fights in a row, against opponents wanting a kiss and a cuddle, more inclined to thank Manny for his generosity in giving him a payday rather than to try to win the fight - it's bound to have an effect.

The Cotto fight was nearly two years ago, so imagine having two years off from your job or doing the job a couple of levels below yours, then get put straight back in there in a tricky situation....

With this fight there was no ''thank you Manny, I'm so grateful, can we get a room?'', just a man who saw the fight as an opportunity to underline his undoubted ability against his biggest rival.

You people shouldnt read too much into what would happen between pacman and mayweather on saturday's fight JMM is Pacmans bogey man and altough i do favour mayweather to win we havent seen anything truly amazing from mayweather either. It could be another degale-groves syndrome where the fans read to much into the anderson fight, as well all know because a beat b a does always beat c.

the word 'legacy' is a new and most annoying phenomenon amongst ******ed celebrity sportsman these days, 'protect his legacy' 'take the gloss of his legacy', someone explain to these ****s its not up to them to decide how they are remembered.

khan all over that is, he's everything he thinks he should be, you can actually see his brain working 'hmmmm i wonder what music top celebrity sportsman such as i should like, lets see........most seem to like usher...........im gonna go with usher as my favorite music'

If Pacman had been knocked out in 54 seconds by a fringe world class fighter than Khan may have a point.

In recent years people have come to expect extra ordinary perfermances from Manny every time he fights, which is impossible to sustain.

The first two fights with Marquez were controversial, there was no reason to think the 3rd fight would be any different.

You only had to look at weigh-in pictures of Mayweather v Marquez compared to pacman v Marquez 3, its plain to see Marquez put every thing he had into this fight.

I'm actually quite liking Khan these days. Just speaks his mind without being antagonistic.

Well said Amir. Pac seems to be on decline. Against Magarito brilliant. Mosley, not so. Now this. They have waited and waited for Mayweather, and now the fight is too much for Pacquiao ,,, It cold be that he can no longer pull the trigger and I think Arum knows it. Unless Manny needs the massive pay day, he should not take it imo. And credit Amir for being honest. Headline might put too heavy a spin on it, but the words cannot be argued against.

He's got a point. Pac is on a high and his legacy has suffered a touch as of late. He can only lose at this stage. Hopefully Pac fights JMM then Floyd. It is better to lose and know where you really stand rather than manufacture greatness.

  13. I've scene an article where Khan has denied making those comments, and has been mis-quoted.

So Marquez turned the fight down, Khan called him out as the bell went on Saturday. Now he wants Floyd in a year - he's wanted Floyd in a year for about a year now.

Marquez beat Pacquiao, then he didn't.

Pacquiao lost easily, then he was by far the better man on the night.

Pacquiao should retire at the top, now he's got loads of fights in him and can carry on as long as he wants.

    :yikes

if Khan said those things or he didn't I'd still like to be in that gym when they spar again, infact I'd pay to watch that sparring.
