Exactly this, I mean Kell Brook hasn't exactly been fighting the best out there, yet he get's so many free passes it's laughable.

watch the last round of Khan v Gomez - he drove gomez across the ring with straight lefts and rights , everyone was on thier feet marvelling at the attack but to anyone who knows boxing it showed Amir to be horribly flawed - attacking square on , no balance or footwork - Margarito like in just walking straight in ,

since Prescott he has never faced anyone with decent power and the ring smarts to expose his flaws - Maidana was too limited technically to capitalise when he he had him hurt.

Zab is by far his biggest test to date.

I met Calzahge the night of the fight with Reid in 1999 - he is not arrogant in person and was very chatty and friendly - on the other hand Robin Reid was a total ***** and gave off a vibe that everyone around him was not as important as him.

Khan, at Brook's stage, thought he would be able to hold his own against Pacquiao in a 4-round fight. This is when Pacquiao only had one fight at 135 against David Diaz - a time when the world didn't quite know how much of a beast Pacquiao really was. So saying you can match someone like that (only in a 4-round fight, not a full one) wasn't really that bad, surely? Nope. It was a very bad thing to say, it turns out. Everyone was jumping on his back, calling him arrogant, cocky, ****, etc.

Now Brook, being at that same stage Khan was, said he if was given a world title shot or an opportunity at either Mayweather or Pacquiao, he would "do them". He's said this a couple of times, in fact. This is a Pacquiao that's built on from that Diaz win and has been ripping through world-class opposition from 140-150. If there was ever a silly/delusional time for a prospect to say he'd "do Pacquiao", it would be now when Pac's on top of his game. But noone's taken any notice of this. Instead they regard Brook as a good prospect with confidence in his abilities.

    Some funny ****, that.

No he's only saying that to suck up to US fans, most fans in general no little about the sport, most fans haven't boxed and most US fans don't seem to have a good understanding of technical aspects of the game

And plenty of others who have met him, say he's an arrogant ***** who's full of himself. And judging by some of his statements - calling Hatton overrated, saying he has a superior legacy to Lennox, etc - I tend to agree with them.

Before he joined Roach, Khan was evidently a fighter relying on physical talent to get by overmatched opponents. He learned very little in the gym it seemed.

But with Roach he has been improving. But if he's still as limited and amateurish as some try to make out on here, there's no chance he'll get by Zab tonight. No chance. Because Zab is that guy with power and skill that everyone's been asking for Khan to face.

Truth be known it's that he was born 20 or so miles from Hatton's front door & came on the scene when Hatton thought he ruled the roost & all the mugs who got well & truely fleeced by Hattons dad viewed Khan as a possible usurper to their idol's status:deal

He's a young guy who speaks his mind with a refreshing freedom regardless if it's dumb sometimes but who did'nt when they were his age. I was so impressed with the way he handled himself when he faced the press hounds after the Prescott hammering.

He showed 1000% balls & accepted it with the maturity that well surpassed his age & experearence of life. he got up & dusted himself down & dumped the baggage train over in the UK & headed for the good old U.S of A where the big dogs **** & where you'll always get a 2nd & 3rd chance if you show confidence & willing to knuckle down & give it a go.

Yer never saw Khan weep & a wail like Hatton did when he got blasted out by Pacman. Khan faced up/man'd up & accepted that devastating KO within 24 hours & moved onwards & upwards. He 's a great example to young men in general in how to handle adversity & overcome it.

To me he's hated in the North & admired in the South.

Khan, although a bit of a plum, is a fighter who deserves respect. And the reason he'll never attain superstar status in Britain is because of his ethnic background. If he wasn't a Pkistani muslim and loved Guinness and pies, he'd be sorted.

Brits don't like to admit that, but that's the way it is.

Completely different scenarios there. Naseem was around before 9/11 - an event which drastically changed the general feelings towards Muslims. Khan turned up in 2004, and was right at the beginning of his pro career when the 7/7 bombings happened.

It's sad, but there's alot of truth to what ImElvis666 has just said.

Amir Khan has followed the same path as Audley thats why he is dislkied. Win an olympic medal, get a huge undserved contract, brag about how great you are, lose to some bum, lose the fans you had....only difference is khan has continued upwards since, and Audley stayed where he was. When people pay £15 to see you Ko'd in one round it pisses a lot of people off.

Of course not all of his fights have been PPV but I've certainly shelled out for a lot of sub par match up involving Khan. Im still happy to watch him but Im not going to fork out for Primetime **** as well.

I've met Haye and Calzaghe too and trust me, when they talk the talk, there's a twinkle in their eye.
Just follow some of Khan's tweets to see how out of order he can be.
I really can't speak for Kel Brook.

It's a shame. I'd really like to support Amir. I've been to several of his early fights but he seems to have become a bit of a helmet in the last few years. A better fighter though.

and yet Danny Williams gets no beef, mike tyson got hounded in the streets here, zidane was seen as a god, anelka, ribery, the list continues, muslims who are loved, its only khans chin and his stupid mouth which has got him in a position where people dislike him, notice thier was no dislike for him during or after the olympics, it was only after 10 fights or so.
