He'll take the winner IMO. Either that fight or Brook. Either fight is a good test for Khan at 147. I guess Mosley would do just for Khan to get used to the weight.:deal

I have never said Khan is a great fighter, Khan is still learning his trade and does lack how to fight on the inside, name a fighter in around his weight other than Floyd who can outbox him from range????

These guys Maidana and Peterson had no hope, again NO HOPE in beating Khan on the outside due to his style and handspeed, sure he relies on speed and lacks other factors but his speed allows him to get away to that just as a iron chined fighter gets away with having poor defence his gift allows him that.

People like you can write him off at 25yrs, but we dont know how his career will pan out in the next 5 years?

    Mastered(+timing) Speed is unbeatable

Much like Khan was a man in defeat? He didn't try to take the belt off Peterson outside of the ring at all, did he?

    Be honourable, laughable.

How can you be so naive and not see it. If Khan was so good, or as good as you think at range...he would not allow opponents to get near him on the inside, or have him literally running away from them. He is good at range, but definitely not as good as you think he is at the distance, not even close to being compared to someone like Mayweather.

    Exactly.

Dude is completely delusional about Khan's abilities, or just completely oblivious to the nuances of the sport.

And I'm not saying that as some sort of snobby expert, there's posters here who are way better at looking at the tactics and traits of fighters. But it's not hard, at all, to see how utterly flawed he is. How sloppy he is and how he lacks ring comfort and fluidity.

He was hit repeatedly with overhand rights from Maidana. Khan tried to jab an back up and got hit with overhand rights. Peterson landed long overhand right hands too. Is that what a "master-boxer from the outside" looks like? Trying to jab and retreat and getting timed and caught numerous times by the rather crude Maidana?

Shall I repeat the question? Name a fighter around his weight who can beat from range other than Floyd?

Bullish tactics off willing to take shots and walk in, is having sucess due to at part Khan gameplan and his lack of power in gaining respect of the fighter and haulting them coming in.

Being tough to beat at long range doesn't mean much if you lack the skills and generalship to keep it there.

Pressure fighters are giving Khan problems and this is something he needs to work on, stand off fighter Khan dominates.

Nobody can blame Peterson for what he's doing. JMM, if that's who he's aiming for, is not only a better fighter than Khan, but he's the bigger name and he's one of Peterson's heroes. How often do you get to share the ring with someone you've looked up to? And that's without mentioning the strong possibility that, should he beat JMM, there'll be a Pacquiao fight in November. Peterson would be a mad man to drop all of this and do what a man (who he's just beaten) is telling him to do.

Khan should just take this as a blessing, and quietly go away and focus on his game. Because honestly, I think Peterson will take him again. And if I was him, I wouldn't be making that jump up to 147 just yet. Screw the money/belt grabbing opportunities for the time being. You're only 25, and you've got time to take a year out against lesser opponents to improve your game. ****, it might even be a good idea to move out to L.A and be in the gym more often. Surely nothing but good could come out of that?

Peterson is not a pressure fighter. He fought like one, and at the very least, gave Khan hell, who goes to show you Khan's lack of ring generalship and how his outside abilities mean little if he can't even keep it there against a fighter who's not really a pressuring, in-fighter.

What good is being really effective at long range, if you've got no ability whatsoever of managing to keep the fight there?

Agreed, Even so it was a close fight i still had Khan winning that, Khan landed more cleaner shots from the outside than Peterson did on the inside, but thats another point, hope Khan learns from it.

Its deffo something he will have to work on as everyone now knows how to make Khan ineffective.

 already? He should go after the WBA. Mosley would spark him right now and Brook is the GOAT

exactly. Imagine if that was Mosley going after Khan like Peterson was :hang
