be carefull what you wish for.
khan wanted a big fight for high stakes, now he's got one.
lamont peterson. the rematch. its a big test for khan and freddie roach, they have to get it right this time and amir needs to fight a better fight or else he can forget about mayweather and pound for pound titles, cos if he does'nt win this one his career's going nowhere.

If Khan loses to Peterson again - it doesn't mean that his career is at a stand-still. He can still go on to do big things in the sport. He's a very good fighter and a good draw - especially over in the UK.

I give credit to Lamont. I've been big on the Peterson brothers for a while and thought they would both be Champions at some point. Lamont put up a very good fight against Bradley but came up short. He's one of the top fighters in his division and nothing should be taken away from that.

    Looking forward to the rematch.

Khans ego won't allow him to settle for only being a big fighter in the UK. He reminds me of Naz, he's either king of the world or he doesn't want to know. He won't train properly if he isn't in the biggest fights and he will turn into a mediocre fighter.

GBP doesn't have options on Peterson and there was no rematch clause. I don't think this fight gets signed until Peterson hears a few offers from other promoters.

how is Khan gonna beat Peterson? He can't hurt him, he can't keep him off. If he just gonna run & flurry and hope for more favorable scoring?

Or is he gonna up his game and learn some new tricks?

    The last one.

Peterson deserved to win the decision and it was an inspirational victory. But Khan wins a rematch, I'm fairly (not 100%) confident of that.

Also... didn't hurt Peterson?, seriously?... he almost had him out of there with a big right hand in the 10th, that momentarily stopped him in his tracks.

Same way he would have beaten him without the deductions.

    By being a better boxer.

Do what he did in the 12th round. Khan pushed off Peterson and angled out whenever he got in close and Peterson was inside on Khan far less time-wise than in the previous rounds. Khan will outbox Peterson in the middle of the ring no doubt. And I have a feeling there will be a ref that doesn't allow Khan and Peterson to fight out when on the inside.
That's how Khan will get the nod next time around.

Massive fight for Khan and for Roach. Khan didn't look like he had a clue what to do once Lamont changed tactics in rnd3 and Freddie and the team take some responsibility for that.

By the sounds of it though, Khan is more focussed on blaming the ref than owning up to his shortcomings and is STILL looking past Peterson (still talking about Floyd)

    Khan can't hurt peterson?

    Tell that to peterson's eye

All Khan & freddie have to do is work out a gameplan to counter the low head bodyshot tactics.

Once that is sorted Khan should be fine.

    expect alot of uppercuts.

KHAN HURT PETERSON IN ROUND 9
But Khan was too tired to continue attacking him :Z
