It says on the scene there's no rematch clause

Must have been a rematch clause in the contract or something.

I'm looking forward to it, was a good fight.

The rematch will happen because of money at the end of the day, I hate this saying but Im going to use it anyway, Khans the cash cow at 140.

I like Khan tbh man .I hope he gets another shot but talking from a neutral point you can look at Maidana etc .I would like to see Khan Maidana 2 as well .I hope he wins his belts back though man but I sort of wanted to see Peterson winning to see how the LWW div would open up .Good fights there to be made and Bradley looks like the man to beat .Styles make fights though Khan could maybe beat him .Good div if there was only one belt in it

timmy certainly did a better job on lamont, but he approached the fight differently. Khan deserves a rematch, but I get the feeling he just wants a referee that will let him do what he wants.

  7. I think that applies to a lot of fighters.

Mainly the ones that have had the silver spoon treatment. Rather than going away and putting in some hard graft they'll cry robbery, corrupt officials etc etc and their promoter will make sure all is in order for their next fight.

I can't say I'm disappointed that he's lost, if only to shove it up Team Khunt, i.e. Asif Vali, Gap Tooth and our Saj.

    Really?
    Who else has?

It amazed me that a lot of people had no interest in this fight.
I can understand those who thought he'd win a decision although not those who thought he'd have an easy night.
But I can't understand why anyone would have thought Khan stopping Peterson would be likely.

On first watch I thought that Khan was treated harshly - HBO certainly thought it.

However, he was warned I think twice before a point was taken and he continued to do it. Its irrelevant how often fighter's are penalised; Khan was warned and he continued to foul thus lost points. Sometimes referees have quirks where certain things annoy them, and other things don't. It's similar to football in that one ref might hate shirtpulling and clamp down on it but another won't. This referee obviously doesn't like/stand for pushing. It'll be interesting to see if he has docked points in the past for pushing.

If you look at his career there has been at least three contentious wins for Khan. Wins in which have (to some, especially his opponents) have question marks over them - Barrera, McCloskey and Judah. I think he gets away with these because he was comfortably winning all 3 at the time. Anyway point is that noone has the luck with them at all times, maybe this was a case of things evening themselves out. To further the football analogy; kinda like dodgy penalties or offsides seemingly "evening themselves out over the course of a season."

It would be good if it was in the UK at a decent hour for British fans.

But didn't Peterson turn down an offer to come when he was challenger, never mind champion?

Then again, I think this time he'll be offered what he's worth. He deserves it - what a great guy he seems to be.

The Barerra "win" was comical. It was so clear what the referee was doing that you can't avoid the partiality. THAT was bad reffing. I really had no problem the other night.

Yeah, that's it there - in his head. It shouldn't really have been in anyone else's head though.
Khan, having never really had the tools to stop guys against a guy who hasn't been stopped, who know's adversity the way most never will, and who has considerable skills. Some great upper body movement in there - kinda Emmanuel Augustusesque at times.

Like he did on Sat night?

Peterson pulled out a career best performance. I do think Khan will make the necessary adjustments in a rematch and I don't think Peterson will ever fight as well as that again.

    About Khan - possibly.
About Peterson - I'd like to think he can go on from this. I certainly hope so.
