hate to say it lads, but this will be a success. they only need 250,000 buys and i've been doing a little research speaking to some casual fans and they think khan's fighting mayweather, they keep talking about the colombians record

i'll probably cave in on saturday night, because its boxing and i look for it anyway i can get it

I disagree, I was asking around the pub on Sunday and got the impression that no one give a ****. No ones heard of Prescott and they certainly don't think he's Ray Leonard.

Thats not to say it won't get to 250,000 but it will struggle.

So anyone going to do the round by round? I know its abit early but I am finding it hard finding anyone who will actually watching it.

i'm impressed with how much support khan has amongst youngsters, which is good for boxing

I certainly hope not, though I fear your right.

A couple of casual fans I know were saying as early as 2005, in December actually after he fought on the Harrison undercard, that he was the best at 135 and would take down Castillo and Corrales with ease!

Media spin and hype warps the casual fans mind for sure.

Those people have no excuse BB, anyone who has heard of JLC and Corales is at least slightly above what I'd call a casual fan. Fair enough if people don't know the world scene and just believe he's the best because he's on TV and he's the only guy at that weight they have heard of, but as soon as you've heard of the other guys then you really should know better.

theres 6 million homes able to purchase the PPV. 2million bought Hatton vs Mayweather which was the highest ratings on SBO for boxing ever. only heavyweight fights have broken the million mark, and they were all below 1.3mil homes. (lewis vs tyson, bruno vs tyson)

this is the only non title fight to be on Sky Box Office not to feature Mike Tyson.

Hatton vs Urango, Collazo and Mausa all got less than 400,000.

anyone thats says "theres 250,000 aisans that will buy it" your a ****ing idiot.

A lot (most) of those fights were 3am starts from the USA, that puts a lot of people off. The Khan fight is prime time Saturday night, thats bound to make a difference.

I'll be watching it. I get it for nothing on my dodgy satellite box.
I'll do a round by round if anyone actually cares that much. Doubt there will be much interest in this joke.
Khan going PPV has really pissed me off. Its as much his management and skys fault but I hope he gets starched now so we can stop the whole circus

Not quite true. Naz had quite a few non-title fights on Box Office. Hatton-Castillo was also a non-title fight.

you really can't discount the terrestrial factor, the fight is at prime time and if hatton/urango got just under 400,000 so late or early depending on which way you look at it, khan/prescott will easily do 300,000

there's plenty willing to pay the 15 quid, its bad for boxing, bad for khan in the long term, but hey thats life

still can't get my head round seeing khan on sky after all these years of doing their best to avoid mensioning him
