anyone expect there to be a rematch, it must of hurt khan to lose that way, everyone knows he has enough to beat him if he tightens up his defence(as he apparantly already has). any chance a rematch might happen and would you expect khan to win if the rematch took place?

It would go some way to restoring my faith in Khan if he had the guts to go for an immediate rematch but I can't see it being likely.

If they did ever fight again (and I can't see it happening) then hopefully Khan will have learned some ring discipline.

I was appalled at the way he charged out at Prescott, met him in the centre of the ring for a right ol' scrap. Utter stupidity. There's nothing wrong with having big bollocks and wanting to entertain but grow up, there's a time and a place.

Why oh why did Khan not use his jab and speed for the first round. Circle Prescott - keep him at a distance and see if he's got anything else in his locker.

I want to see Khan do well but I was disgusted by that performance last night. Amateur hour would be an understatement.

I'd love to see a rematch.

I'd pay for it and everything!

A rematch is pointless. It doesn't matter what strategy Khan employs, Prescott beats him 10 times out of 10.

He is totally unproven yes, but he has a punch that Khan clearly can't handle. Khan is far from a defensive genius and has poor reflexes, for Khan to win with the chin he's been cursed with he'd need to improve his defence very significantly... which i doubt is possible in the short term or even ever unfortunately, which is a shame.

Khan and co keep mentioning that Lennox Lewis was KO'd and came back. They forget that he rematched those that beat him and won in the return fight. They make no mention of a Prescott rematch because he is too dangerous for Amir - Untouchable- Khan.

If there is a rematch, it wil be further down the line. Too risky to have one straight away becoz if he loses it really will be a case of where does he go from here. A lot of people are being premature in writing him off and some are even suggesting he can retire.

This loss will make him a better fighter as it has done to so many other fighters. He has the speed and power to be a very effective boxer from the outside as in a hit but dont get hit merchant.

Indeed Khan should have started more tentatively and boxed Prescott from the outside however I feel Prescott would have connected at some point.

As we saw at about 0:12 of round 1 the moment Prescott landed a shot Khan was absolutely ****ed. I have been reluctant to write Amir off because he has some tools and has looked impressive in past outings but the reality is he met an opponent who could bang and couldn't stand the heat. A 50 second demolition in a fight you are contractually obliged to win connotes exposure.

I'd respect Khan if he did go for an immediate rematch but it would be his undoing as big name, alas if he is not already undone.

No chance, Warren would rather chop off his own head than do it.

Your comment is ridiculous. It wouldn't take guts, he'd have to be a complete idiot to take an immediate rematch.
Would it really restore your faith in Khan if he proved he was f*cking stupid?

Bollocks, the guy shouldn't fight anyone with decent power any time soon.
Warren was actually doing everything right in hindsight. Limond, Earl, St Clair, Kristjansen... he virtually had Khan in a world title challenging position! Wait till a decent champion turns up who is a good boxer but not much power and it's a great job done. It could still happen, just got to hold fire until a title holder doesn't hit hard.

That would be a very bad idea.

Khan was sparkled as an amateur, has been floored by boxers who were not noted punchers, and on the first occasion he faced a puncher he got smashed. He will not find it so easy to get back as his stock has fallen. This means tough fights and Khan is not tough.

Which isn't going to be for a long long time. There are no Malignaggi's on the horizon in this division, they can all hit to some extent.
