what would be the point of a rematch? if khan wins people will jus call Prescott a one hit wonder and if he loses that wuld effectively be the nail in the coffin. no i fink khan shuld stay away from prescott unless prescott is a world champion

He's only 21, he's got a little time to kill.

But it's not the best idea to get him knocked out again by the same guy who just did it to prove he has "guts" is it?

Nope, he might as well fight a few bums to get his confidence back (not that he really seems to have lost it  ) and then go for a British title shot as he should have done in the first place. He probably wouldn't be in this situation then, certainly not a first round KO.

It's pretty rare to get actual pillow dusters as world champs though, unfortunately for Khan. Malignaggi is about the only one I can think of at the moment.

Time will tell how big of a puncher Prescott is. But they looked like damn heavy shots saturday night.
Khan might not need a Malignaggi or Cory Spinks - if Prescott turns out to be Julian Jackson or Pacquiao.

The only thing known right now is that Prescott hits much too hard for him, and imo, Prescott's next few fights are going to tell us more about Khan than we'll learn from anything Khan does.

That line of logic could be valid if Khan hadn't been down more times than Jenna Jameson.

That's Khan's problem, it doesn't take a big puncher to put him down and hurt him. Poor to moderate punchers have already done it, so when he actually faces a skilled operator that can hit him with ease whether they are Julian Jackson's or just decent punchers it ain't gonna matter.

I had about 0.1% hope of him being a world champ pre-Prescott, its a fat 0 now.

Exactly. Limond had him on his arse and he's incredibly feather fisted, and a stiff jab from Prescott stood Khan up and wobbled him.

He's been knocked down by light punchers and it's clear his chin is terrible. Three fights before saturday showed that, Watson, Limond and Gomez... but he still won all of those fights.

But the only person who has hit too hard for him was Prescott, whose power is still unknown at world level. If Thaxton or Romanov stop him in a round then the chances of him winning a world title would be virtually none.

Until Prescott's power is shown to be below world class you can't say Khan can never win a title. Obviously, It'll be a huge challenge for Warren to guide him to a title now and he will have to dodge plenty along the way.

    why not fight prescott again?

Frazier fought foreman after he had been knocked down 6 times in their last fight, and although he lost i am sure he gained more fans than lost due to the fact he had courage to fight the one guy that utterly destroyed him last time out.

They were awesome punches, a highlight reel knockout for Prescott.

Left hook, .. right hand, left hook all on the button.

What i am saying is that frazier had a rematch against an opponent, who in their first fight, got seriously beaten up by him, which is similar to the way khan was beaten badly by prescott, and i feel that amir would gain more boxing purists as fans if he were to have the courage, like frazier, to step into the ring again against someone who seemingly has his number.

Doesn't matter what Prescott's power is. He landed about 6 of 8 haymakers.

With defense like that ANY world level fighter will knock Amir out quick sharp.
