I'm not happy with the way the fight ended but to say that Khan proved nothing at all is nonsense!

You don't need to know the difference between a headbutt and a clash of heads. (BTW, the answer is: There IS no difference. A clash of heads = a headbutt.)

The false argument I think you're trying to make is that there is a difference between an intentional headbutt and an accidental headbutt. (Both of which result in a clash of heads.)

But that is a non-argument. Nobody is saying that Khan intentionally headbutted MAB. But we are saying that it did happen. The result:

It did blind MAB through the rounds.
It should have been stopped and called a NC
It resulted in a stoppage after the 4th, giving Khan the obvious points victory.

But big deal -- Khan won a 4 round pts decision over a guy with blood flowing into his eye due to a accident in round 1. What's there to be proud off?

I never say MAB hurt, only confused. I DID see Khan get a little shaky twice off two nice MAB shots.

Yes, Khan won. But it proved zero to me, since I already knew he was fast. But I honestly believe that without the cut, MAB would have stopped him.

I saw Khan take all of MAB shots very well.

Listen, i'm one of the biggest MAB nuthuggers around but i'm not sure he would have been able to handle Khan tonight even without the cut.

Wihtout the cut i think it would have been a clear point's win for Khan.

Of course, Marco could have clipped him and ended the fight at anytime but i think last night it woudl have been Khan's night even without the cut tbh.

yes, i agree that Khan looked good. His defense is better. He's fast as hell. He does throw nice flurries. I agree with all of that.

But this was a BS fight that proves nothing, because it didn't end with any sense of finality. MAB didn not get a fair shake.

Put it this way. What I the ref stopped the JMM fight after a few rough rounds against Diaz? What if the ref stopped the JMM/Pac #1 after the first round? Hell, Roldan floored Hagler in the first round of their fight. Taylor dropped Pavlik. Dempsey got knocked about the the freaking ring once before coming back. And every example above was the result of a solid punch or early beating. All Khan was able to do effectively was massively aided by the fact that MAB was a one-eyed fighter after the acc-butt.

Yet still I saw MAB settling into occasional rhythm. He deserved a chance to figure Khan out and adjust. He threw a few promising punches that seemed to really effect Khan -- even if he did take them better than he has in the past.

Who can say definitely who would have one minus that acc-butt. I think MAB would have had a nice chance. And I'm not a hugger, hater or any of that BS people throw around here. I just know a victory from an unsatisfying conclusion. All I'm saying is that Khan ought to recognize the reality of this "cuts stoppage" and give MAB another shot.
