All this BS about Peterson putting his head down, its Amir Khan who was is dragging the opponents head down half the time, and here's why.............

He has a tendency to lead off and overshoot punches, beit 1 2's, or right hands, and because he occasionally leaves himself open when he does this, primarily when he misses, he's looking to grab hold and push down on the opponent to guard against potential counters. Think about it, if everytime you lead off it doesn't matter if you miss cause you can start pulling the guys head down to guard against potential counters, you're gonna be more encouraged to do it. If the opponent overshoots the right hand it means you can slip left and come back with your left hook, or left hook right hand, or you can roll the shoulder and come with a counter uppercut, or even counter with your own right hand.

This is what you call pushing and head pulling down yet no point was taken from either fighter.

That's a different fight, different referee. Different referees officiate differently. What you can get away with, with one, wont play off with another. That's just commonsense.

You're not supposed to fight accordingly to what other refs will allow, your supposed to fight accordingly to what that particular ref will allow, and if you've been told & warned, why continue to do it? I'll tell you why, because he needs!! the ability to hold to guard against leaving himself open at times, or getting exposed for his lack of inside game, that's the real reason he's complaining. He wasn't protected! by the ref, where ordinarily he would be able to exploit that grey area and bend the rules, IE borderline cheat.

Ok I agree with you when you say you're supposed to fight according to what the ref will allow. I mean most referees will have no problem with pushing to an extent.
Khan did not adapt to the referee.

But the topic of your thread was how Khan pulls opponents head down on purpose. He does not pull it down on purpose, when a fighter comes in low, its a common tactic used by many boxers. The other point is that if you watch the fight again, Lamont is guilty of his share of "illlegal" tactics if you want to be hyper critical as the referee was it should have been applied equally.

Wlad vs Brewster video as just one example and there is no shortage of examples.

How can you say that, its plain as day in that video. If a fighter gets low, or bends away from a punch to avoid it, do you consider that going low? Its natural to try and bend away from a punch, or get underneath it when its thrown at you.

There were times when Peterson got low, but there was also times where Khan consciously pulled him low in an effort to do what he was doing in that video.

Criticisms can be leveled at both, but personally I feel Khan was more to blame, which is why he was reprimanded. Khan was! holding excisely toward the end, he did! hit Peterson on the break to, and Peterson did have a KD against him name, so the first point deduction, which incidentally Khan was warned for, cancels any foul play from the ref out imo. I believe Khan set the tone from the get go to, by putting his elbow in Peterson's throat then hitting him with the right hand, the ref said nothing when he did that and so Peterson must of thought, so that's how its gonna be huh?

Judah's punk ass could of got up that's why, the ref told him it was a knockdown but Judah decided to play dumb and mentally quit, Judah was getting his ass beat, and would have got stopped later on
