V good post. Considering how close the last fight was, and that neither fighter was really hurt badly it's hard to see anything but a back and forth fight again going the distance.

Khan had two points taken, so how close was the fight actually? Sure it was competitive, but without the KD's I think we get a true reflection of how effective Peterson actually was. Peterson was very effective when he imposed himself, but too many times he slipped back into that safe, cautious, thinking fighter mentality which allowed Khan enough time & space to get on his bike and start rattling off combinations. I only bring this up because people commend Peterson on how much he put into the fight, when I myself thought he should of done a lot more. If that would of been Bradley he would glued himself to Amir Khan, and Khan wouldn't of got a moments respite to get that separation back so he could take it back on the outside. Peterson barely won with!! the point deductions, so he's gonna have to be much better next time around.

I can see Barry Hunter trying to implement the things he didn't do in the first fight, only I dont think it will work. Peterson is too much of a plodder, doesn't cut the ring down well enough, and doesn't have the right mentality to apply intelligent pressure(He's too much of a thinking fighter at times). I can see Peterson trying to adopt the right approach, but not executing it properly, allowing Khan to get off first too much, then him having to revert back to dogging it out dragging Khan into a war.

You know people talk about Amir Khan not being allowed to hold, but the reason he ships so much punishment in his fights, is because his footwork unravels under pressure, and that's how he gets trapped on the ropes so much imo.

I expect Khan to win but if Peterson is to win I think he might need to stop Amir Khan, which I dont thinks inconceivable, even though I do think Khan will most probably win a decision.

Unless Khan has significantly improved his inside game, I don't know why he is so confident.

    ^^Summed up perfectly.

It will be the same fight with some adjustments on both sides. Peterson lost the first couple of rounds by being overawed by Khan's speed, I can't see that happening again.
