I made a thread yesterday claiming rios would be a good fight for khan, i'd like to take back what i said, and say i was completely wrong, rios is probably as bad or perhaps even worse stylistically then Lucas matthyse. Their are so many fighters up at 140 right now who would give khan fits its best he keeps his head down and learns how to become a better fighter before he start's calling people out again. Honestly khan would need at least another 3 fights before you put him anywhere near a rios, alvarado, matthyse or even a prescott. Hope he learns from hunter but i get the feeling he'll come unstruck the bombs these guys were exchanges would have likely KO'ed amir repeatedly.

I agree, he needs to keep his mouth shut. Working that jaw and chin to much will do him injury, we can already see missing chunks.

He needs to realize he is nothing but a domestic fighter now, he has been humbled, if he wants to have a crack back at the top, guess what, there is a road and a line, and he's right at the back of it. Again.

I can't believe golden boy didn't drop his ass! Mind you, Shaefers breathe may be to powerful and if it catches Khan on the chin.........perhaps they just left it at that, and they can use him in fights to get completely obliterated and to make somebody else look good? Amir Khan = Meat?

I'm sure he could prize the winner of Witter-Gavin, or somebody like Matthew or Ricky Hatton. Ricky Hatton is not no mega fight in 3 fights time, that needs to happen right now, they are both bums at bottom of the barrel.

I don't like Rios but the guy is an animal and tough as they come. Him and Broner are on a collision course i feel and in a year from now they will both be massive names and a super fight will be made.

    @ craney

Lol dream on. Amir Khan is the only British fighter at the moment who is not "domestic" in terms of ability AND fame.

Khan has closed his twitter page so it seems they are taking things seriously now

He's closed his twitter account for the time being, so that's a start. And yes, I've always felt that Rios -- out of all the fighters in and around his division -- is the worst possible fight for him. He'd have an easier time with Matthysse, than he would with him.

Also, while i do think khan is a seriously flawed and vulnerable fighter, i'd only slightly favour rios over him.

Being in a fight like he was yesterday doesn't make him great, it means he's got dreadful defensive flaws, dreadful.

Rios, Alvarado and Matthysse should all be slight favourites over Khan IMO. Him against JMM is one for the sadists.

Matthyse it's fair to say I can't see Khan beating.

The other two, they are not insurmountable imo
