If you think about it, he's got hold of Khan at roughly the same age as he did Pacqiao - I think. Not that I'm drawing a direct comparison, and not saying he can match that stellar career path - just that he's got a keen, talented, young kid to mold.

There were idiots saying the same thing about Pacquiao when he was 22 after being KTFO twice and floored a few times in his early career.

Khan was on his feet at the count of 8 from the Prescott shot that was far harder than the one that KO`d Ricky on Saturday.

There is nothing wrong with Khans chin only his defence and that can be worked on and improved.

looking objectively at it, for khan to get in the Ring P4P top 10 in 2 years, he would probably have to do the following:
- beat kotelnik winning a LWW belt
- go back down to LW and win a belt
- go back up to LWW and beat a marquee name
- win another LWW belt
- not suffer any more losses in the next 2 years

given khans exposure level i think this would be enough for a 9 or 10 ranking, and i dont think the Ring care about the presscott rematch to be honest.

can this be done? with some skillful matchmaking it could be as we all know that matched against the right opponent khan has a good chance. even his detractors put him in with a good chance against kotelnik for example.

although u could say its a 50-50 everytime he steps in a ring you cant say its obsurd he will be a P4P entrant in 2 years.

Cant possibly be as daft as the Hatton lovers thinking Ricky would beat Pacquiao because he was bigger.

Nor as daft as the Hatton fans who think Tsyzu and Castillo were top fighters when Ricky fought them.

I agree the Prescott fight was stopped prematurely. He definately could have continued, I just think he saw the ref wave it off and thought '**** it, i'll lie here for a bit its dead comfy!'
