I am 100% convinced that there are people in the UK that don't like him simply because he's a Pakistani Muslim.

imo ricky hatton gives anyone the reason to boo him. talks in 3rd person, is confident which is fine but ppl dont like it.

i think ppl in england cant take it when a non english fighter sportman succeeds imo. how come ricky hatton-froch and kevin mitchell dont get that stick,. racism still exists in 2009

 

There certainly are and I don't think anyone can dispute that. Khan pisses me off with his air of entitlement. He really hasn't done that much yet (as a Pro) and is being handed opportunities many boxers can only dream of. He needs to ignore the racist arseholes, appreciate what he's got and concentrate on proving himself in the ring. I work with a Pakistani muslim and he is one of the nicest, most intelligent, hard working, dignified and humble people it has been my pleasure to encounter. Khan could learn a lot from him.

 

If Hatton moved to Pakistan he'd be a superstar if he wasn't white and a non-muslim.....

When I watch him tonight there will still be racist chanting in the clubs that I go, he's a nice kid with alot of quality, but just because he is a proud Muslim a small minority of British people will want him to lose
