Firstly, I am not a hater (previous owner of a Khan avy ) Secondly, Maidana is overrated, but is still good - I would go as far to say he is being overlooked by some people. Thirdly, Roach may help Khan deal with pressure better, doesn't help his chin though - Maidana only needs to get through once with one of his looping right hands. :good BTW I may sound like a Maidana 'nuthugger' but I'm not, was gutted when he beat Ortiz.
I know you aint a hater- twas just a joke you tit:good. I see where you are coming from, honestly, but I don't buy it. As D-MAC said, this is a perfect fight for Khan to kill off the Prescott demons and Maidana is also beatable. As for Ortiz, without sounding like a prime ****, I was quite pleased he lost against Maidana at the time- he really started believing his own hype and the humbling will only serve as a platform to make him better anyway, IMO. Much like it did with Khan, actually. Also, Maidana wanted that victory badly and deserved it- the turn-around was something else. Going by conversation alone, the potential Maidana fight already has people talking. It will be a great event if it happens. God knows what the jokers would say if Khan won or lost! Anyway, you've mentioned the buzz word now so expect this thread to hot up.
I have to admit that I would still fancy Maidana in this one, but its a hard one to call because if Khan has continued to improve (and he should do) then he may have the tools to box Marcos for the full 12. Against Maidana he would have to display a good bit more detterent power than he displayed against Kotelnik though, because Maidana is gonna be "flies-on-****" in this fight, and his winging style of punch is major danger.
apart from prescott and some hairy moments (i thought the drilzane fight was good) khan has had it mostly his own way. now hes a belt holder he should be in with someone who will try to drag him into a fight and see how he reacts and neutralizes the threat. it would be a fight i would really look forward to.
