On the same day as Huck vs. Shola Ameobi, Pavlik vs. Williams and Clottey vs. Quintana

I agree...the poster is completely harmless...at the end of the day, only one of them can bring home the bacon

Might go to this. Nip down on the train, find a travelodge, a b&b, nip to the fight - hopefully Mitchell v Burns is on.........

A good idea me thinks. I'm only 90mins from Newcy at the end of the day.

this would've been better in the US, no?

i know it all boils down to the chedder and it probabily does better with the geordies then in the big apple, but i think it would've sold well their as well, Khan gets his US debut, gets HBO wet and experiences a different environment and they could compensate for the time difference by staging it earlier across the bond...I guess if it was better all round then they would've held it over there.

on the match-up it self, its a decent one, just about some intangibles there to keep the interest, Khan is the favourite of course and will/should win, but its a respectable first defence and it WILL be competitive. Salita is solid, although he's a bit pedestrian, walks into shots, doesn't set his feet, methodical, ignores combinations and gets tagged somewhat easily Khan will still have to work for his victory and thats all we can ask for from a first defence, I give them a pass on this one...it could be a poor mans Pacquiao vs Cotto in terms of styles btw and obviously NOT quality.

Khan has had a good rest since his last fight, longest rest to date, he will be better at the weight and will have grown into this weight. This fight will give Khan a chance to maybe put on a show and press the fight more than the Kotelnik fight.

Now that Mitchell-Burns has seemingly been confirmed I think I'll definitely be going to this and I fancy a night out in Europe's party capital if I can get a few mates to tag along. :yep
