Kell Brook has all the political and media hype of Sky behind him, and still in my opinion he is not a big draw.

Amir Khan whenever, wherever he fights! Always evokes a massive public reaction. From his die hard fans, from the media, from the people who religiously hate him and watch his every move.

    The guy is block buster

    Its probably true though.

A lot of Muslim brothers in not just Sheffield, but the whole of Yorkshire. And Khan did also fight in the Olympics and has been a World Champion. A lot of people know who Amir Khan is. Not many people outside of boxing have even heard of Kell Brook.....most of them think you are on about Kelly Brook.

One too many shots to the skull it seems. I think this fight would have sold out if prices were lower.

Yeah agree with primadonna, khan does get a reaction, keeps him relevant I suppose.

Where is this "Khan is a massive draw" myth coming from? He was a couple of years ago but ever since he lost his world titles to Peterson interest in him has plummeted. When he fought Garcia it barely got a mention in the papers because in the UK everyone was interested in Haye-Chisora instead when there were no titles on the line. He threw a hissy fit about it saying people should watch his fight and not the heavyweights. It only became big news when people were made up that he got flattened.

The numbers for his last fight for Sky were shite and now apparently they don't want to broadcast this fight so BoxNation will get it instead. On the night in LA as well there were loads of tickets unsold for the fight unsold because local fans had no interest in him vs Molina. that's why they're bringing him back over here, his stock in the U.S. is low so they hope they can make some money off the UK fans instead.

When Brook fought Matthew Hatton it broke Sky's records for boxing. They've done a good job of raising his profile, he's still not quite known by the whole nation but he's not that far off. Brook sold out the Sheffield Arena three times in one year in fighting in only those shitty "eliminator" fights. Khan's basically having a keep busy fight against an old man yet thinks people will be more interested in that. Ludicrous.

Khan hasn't fought on sky at peak time in years though, so there is good chance he would have been up there in terms of record viewing figures. So what if brook sold out sheffield arena three times? Khan has sold out many arenas in the UK so many times!!!! Yeah I agree he isn't a big draw in the US, then again I always believe it takes two good fighters with decent fanbases to generate a good crowd in the US. Boxing is dying over there. Even a fight like mayweather vs mosley didn't sell out in the US.

He's not a massive draw. He's a draw, but not a massive one. If he were a massive draw he'd be fighting in a football stadium or the O2 or the Manchester Arena. Just because the average person on the street knows who he is doesn't mean that they're interested in him or will fork out money to watch him. Far from it. The only real massive draw in UK boxing right now is probably David Haye.

You're going to accuse me of racism now aren't you?

Then again viewing figures wise in the US, khan has done pretty well, someone posted the figures in the general and he was in top 8 i think.

You dont know **** about boxing.

Amir Khan has main evented cards in the US. Do you have to fight in the Nottingham Capital FM Arena to be a massive draw in your eyes?

    Get outta here.

I don't think you realize just how popular Khan is in America. :good

If he is not a massive draw why are people constantly talking about him..? Amir Khan has been fighting in the states, Kell Brook won't even leave Sheffield.

I am not even going to argue, deep down you know i am right.

Amir Khan is probably a bigger draw than David Haye.

So Brook isn't worthy of a fight with Khan, yet Molina and Diaz are? :rofl
