Ortiz wins the event by way of massive mental breakdown mid rounds.

To be honest I've thought that too many people wrote Tim Bradley off before Khan fought Peterson. It's easy to just say "Bradley ducked Khan" but there's more to it than that. If you were Bradley, would you not be looking for the biggest money fights possible? His contract with Shaw was at an end, he know Top Rank were interested and that it would put him in the Pacquiao 'sweepstakes'. I'm convinced that if GBP had made him a better offer and dangled the carrot on a stick of a Mayweather fight, Bradley would have signed with them.

I also don't get how Khan was considered the best at 140lbs by so many on the basis of beating Paul McCloskey and a past-prime Zab Judah. (Note I said "past prime", not "shot" - not saying Judah isn't still a decent opponent.) Bradley had consistently fought the top guys at 140lbs for a few years before talk of Khan fight - I just don't see him as being in the position of having to prove himself there.

I ranked Bradley ahead of Khan and favoured him to beat him before the Peterson fight, and still do. Ortiz, though, is a different matter. I think the Berto fight was that 'one' fight that some fighters have that goes down as their best ever performance. I'm not convinced he can pull off another display of heart and toughness like that. In short, if Khan was too much for him he'd look for a way out. As much as I think Khan has flaws that guys at 140lbs and 147lbs can take advantage of - and Ortiz is one of them - I'd favour Khan to beat him.

good match ups but the wrong fights at the wrong time. unfinished business all over the shop.

  4. Without a stone ''advantage'' in weight, Ortiz would be a club fighter.

I'd fancy Khan to win this quite clearly. Not impressed with Ortiz really.
