The thing is, I didn't really see McCloskey or Mitchell make the mistakes Amir does. Yeah, you've pretty much said it, it was just his damn exchanges where he doesn't throw any caution to the wind or have any regard for the other fighters punches when he throws himself. He did that plenty of times in the Molina fight, too, where he was getting caught by some really big counter left and right hooks, but obviously had no effect due to Molina's lack of p.

Not that I'm saying his weight or anything is an excuse, but he was definitely a dead man walking. His face was almost Rios-esque at the weigh-in, but of course, that doesn't account for as much, as the same thing happened in the Garcia fight. Just his damn disregard for his opponents offense sometimes is terrible.
