The ref didn't do a good job, no doubt about that, but he also wasn't being more favourable to Peterson based on the point deductions. Why did he give a KD that wasn't if that was the case?

I did't see any blatent fouling by Peterson. Infact if anything, Khan set the tone by putting his elbow into Peterson's throat, then trying to hit him with the other hand. The ref allowed that to happen and didn't say anything. Also, Khan consciously pulls fighters head down, he's done it in a lot of other fights. It allows him to get off first and not have to worry about getting countered, cause if he misses and leaves himself open for a counter he can pull the guys head down so he cant take advantage of the situation. Khan was literally pushing Peterson off to, another tactic that is illegal. He was doing that because he couldn't handle Peterson from in that range so wanted to push him back outside. Khan did most of the holding to stop Peterson working inside to. I mean he turned his back how many times, or looked at the ref with puppy dog eyes thinking he was going to get some sanctuary from the ref.

The first point deduction was wrong though. The second was actually legit. He WAS holding excessively at that point to STOP Peterson from working him over inside.

Khan lost his title because of poor officiating by the judges. The KD wasn't legit, neither was the first foul, and so that squares things up, but the second point deduction was fully deserved.

One judge obviously changed his scorecard in round 7.

George H. H scorecard seem to have a 10 in khan's column then crossed out and replaced by 8. If khan was deducted point in that round, would it be just a 9 instead of 8. Likewise, it seemed like Peterson had 9 then scribbled out to make a 0 and 1 was added beside it to make it 10. If he scored it based on principle, the original scorecard of 113-112 in favor of Peterson would actually be a draw.

Actually, Roach is to blame, for not telling him to pay attention to what the ref was telling him.
