Lets be honest Khan in no way deserves nor is he ready to fight Floyd Mayweather. Ortiz is most likey going to lose to May on Saturday and there is no shame in losing to the best. I think Ortiz should try and bounce back from the loss by fighting the very overrated Amir Khan. THAT is a good matchup being that they have a history in the amuters and both come from 140lb divison. I know khan is in love with himmself and believes he deserves a shot at mayweather but that doesnt make it true. Fighting guys like a 50year old Barrera or a 60 year old Judah doesnt make you the best. Khan needs to get off his high horse or high camel and humble himmself. He is in need of a reality check.
But it makes sense like in the case of Judah he was the other titleholder after Bradley didnt want to fight him. It made sense tht he fought Judah cos Timmy in undercover mode. As far as the exxagerated ages are concerned it seems tht you dnt rate Amir's wins highly... wht i dnt get is after some1 wins they say thier opponent was old, shot etc. That supposedly 'old' fighter (regardless of experience with thier side) signed the contract cos they think they have a chance at winning and on top of tht guaranteed money even if they loose lol. Who would you want Khan to fight so he earns your 'respect'?
Fight mayweather if mayweather wins. Maybe if ortiz makes it a tough fight for pbf Ortiz gets school , it would be a pointless fight for khan Anyway wont happen amir will fight. Pbf pacman berto bradley etc... If ortiz win then sure but if he loses ??? Why would amir pick up after pbf scraps?
If Ortiz loses bad, and Khan says he wants to fight him, he will be branded a cherry picker... and then suddenly he will be "ducking" Bradley to fight a guy coming off of a loss. Khan's best bet is to stay active calling out Bradley and Mayweather and Pac and let the other people call HIM out taking the best notoriety and money available at the time dictate his next opponents.
If Ortiz deserves to fight Mayweather, then so does Khan. But with that said, it's my belief that neither of them are ready to step up to that level just yet. I also believe Ortiz is all wrong for Khan. He's too powerful and explosive. Khan would have a tougher night against him than he did agaisnt Maidana.
Berto rematch first then perhaps Khan when he moves up. The fight will be easy to make since as they're both with Golden Boy
