Khan should move to 140, it will help his chin.

    I agree.

I think he's sticking at 135 because he wants to be a multiple weight world champ.

He probably believes he can be a world title holder at 135, 140 and 147.

Prescott did indeed hurt Khan with the first jab of the fight.

Recently, a super-bantam has pretty much gone the distance with Prescott, had him running away (!) and took a lot of his punches flush. Prescott doesn't seem that special at all.

I was indeed amazed Khan took that headbutt. There were other moments in the fight where it became clear his new defence consists of moving and holding his hands a bit higher.

Honestly, his chin is going to get tagged at one point by a better puncher than the likes of Limond, Gomez (past his best) etctec and a better/harder puncher than Prescott.

Let's say he DOES fight Marquez; the uppercut that flattened Juan Diaz or the combination that floored Casamayor? The two hooks he hit Pac with in their 2nd fight that (very briefly) had Manny on ***** street?

Khan doesn't stand a chance. If Roach can't decisively beat Marquez over two fights with the no.1 P4P fighter, he isn't going to be able to help Khan, who probably doesn't hit hard enough to hurt Marquez, and who will be outboxed AND outfought by Marquez, who will have no trouble hitting Khan. He isn't as small as Barrera or Gairy St Clair :rofl

honestly, although Khan probably could outbox Valero, if he had a half-decent chin I would say he definitely could, but come on, I don't even rate Valero that much, but he has enough power to stop Khan. And there will come a point in the fight where Khan gets tagged (probably in the first round) and he will be ****ed.

Okay, so let's say he avoids the dangerous punchers at LW and moves up?

He fights either Nate Campbell (more than enough ring smarts and power to beat Khan, badly) Ricky Hatton (even in a years time Ricky will be able to hit Khan at least a couple of times, all it will take) Timothy Bradley (not a massive hitter but dropped Witter and Cherry, who both have better chins than Khan) Juan Urango (Khan cannot hurt Urango in any way shape or form. Urango's punches + Khan's chin equal death, and I ain't joking, the man is a beast) Ricardo Torres (what d'you think?) and countless others I would pick to spark him (Witter being one of them)

Khan cannot deal with the power at LW. The solution? Put an extra five lbs on him and move him up to face even bigger guys? There might be some more destructive hitters at LW (debatable) but to take all of Khan;s size advanatges away as well?

Honestly, the kid is doomed, unless he can miraculously make SFW (which he can't) Even then, Soto, Gamboa and Guerrero would spark him.

I repeat: The kid is doomed.

Yeah, getting hit by bigger, stronger fighters is bound to improve your chin...

I think so too, get a bit muscle on him, he's a big 135, only problem is theres some big punchers at 140, but he should definatly move up, THAT IS, if he becomes champ at 135 first, at 147 he will definatly struggle.

He says he has no problems making the weight, and he came in comfortably under the limit this time. Whilst it's true that moving up in weight can help your punch resistance (Adamek, Cotto etc.), it's not always the case and I believe that in Urango and Torres, there are MUCH bigger punchers at LWW than at LW.
