You are correct, but khan could of made more money waiting for bout to gain more exposure, cant fault khan on this one mate, i am the most critical of fans but you have to give credit when it is due.

He gets..like a, "credit to Amir", he don't get, "Amir has the heart of a champion, godbless him". Some reason it has to be different for British fighters, it's like a big achievement if one of them actually challenges themselves. Khan is doing what is well over due. Goodluck to him.

Addie kinda has a point though. We're going mental about a champion doing what he's supposed to do, at least in times gone by. Defending your belt against a mandatory is expected no matter if he's the biggest puncher in the world or a nobody, as was Salita.

Mate check my post history and look at the slating i have given khan, i have crippled the lad. Im just thankful that the fight is on, mate you are more than correct with your point. You see how bad things have got in boxing when we rave about someone not ducking an opponent.

Its not really the posters fault, so many boxing sites were making up their own minds and misquoting people and saying Khan is going to duck without hard facts.

You should read Scene's lastest news on Khan, you can see their so pissed off that Khan has proved them wrong, the writer is pissed.

If Khan comes through adversity and beats Maidana, I'll be the first one to credit him with having the heart of a champion. I'm not going to blow him for taking on his mandatory, christ. Goodluck to him.

more like khan heard the public slating him for not defending and then backtracked.

i think this will be khans second loss, maidana only has to bore in once and land an khans wobbled or down an that will be enough.

addie going too mad about khan imo, if you can fight paulie and get like 5 mill and fight maidana and get 1mill in what is potentially just as risky, then fair play to khan for fulfilling his commitments...

About sums up what i was thinking.

I dont think Amir himself would have been able to hold his head high if he chose to sidestep Maidana.

Plus as i keep saying this is a quality fight where either man has the tools to win.

I'm delighted Amir didn't vacate the title so he could dodge Maidana and I can't wait for the fight it should be a goodun Maidana-Khan has the makings of a terrific little fight. I also think that Golden Boy will stick this on the undercard of Hopkins-Jones simply because they will be trying to entice HBO into putting that fight on PPV without HBO it doesn't even do 100k+.
