I can think of worse fights, it's not a bad headliner IMO. Khan way too big for him and too long.

I suspected Burns would be in the frame. It ticks all boxes for Hearn, Khan loves fighting southpaws and an old, washed up, smaller Burns would be an ideal comeback fight for him.

For Hearn it means he can finally get rid of Ricky after exhausting all the bogus interim/vacant title routes and he can see him off with a good pay day to boot- it’s a win, win for all involved.

You've said it yourself in the last sentence really. Plus Burns hasn't looked at a good level in ages. In terms of name value though you're right, people would still be happy with it on that basis alone.

Ah a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel
Win win for all involved except fans
    Its a foregone conclusion

Looks like Khan's comeback opponent is going to be Chris Van Heerden. Not confirmed yet tho.

Khan is thick! But whoever his advisors are, well done. He's just been paid nearly half a mil for going on a fun show and now will have millions of housewives and other fans interested in his next PPV. He won't care if he gets kod one more time. Well done I say.

Stupid place to have his comeback though. Nobody even liked him here when he was up and coming and supposed to be the bees knees.

He's always in good fights though and is brave as ****. So I won't slag him off like everyone else. I also give him a lot more of a chance v Brook than most.

I can see Van Herden in April in Liverpool (agree, not a great venue for him) Burns in Glasgow early July (possible PPV) and Brook by end of year at O2 if he gets through.
Can't believe Khan may fight 3 times in 2018!
