Exactly, everyone is innocent until proven guilty. Khan is innocent until proven otherwise, that it the law. Thread closed.

There's one bloke on here who will staunchly attack you if you say things like that. I, and other, had the pleasure of his one-way, misinformed, vitriollic attacks the other day. Good luck, mate. :good

Why was he not arrested then? Why are no other media outlets running the story? To be fair, we both don't have a clue- we're just sticking to the sides we've originally set out. I'd like to make it clear I don't have a beef with you on a personal level, I just think this story doesn't hold a lot of water all things considered.:good

Look, I think that we have got crossed wires here. I don't know whether Khan has done anything wrong, and neither does anyone else on here. The story was run by the Sun and not picked up by any other news outlet that I can see and this might be telling. I agree that the identity of anyone accused of any crime should be witheld from the media until a conviction has been gained. As a father of four daughters, what has galled me is that on here there appears to have been an automatic assumption that the woman in question is telling a porky...this kind of reaction means that women who have been raped or physically abused are less likely to come forward because they fear they will be villified and their characters muddied.

Boy who cried wolf syndrome I believe, any time something comes out like this in a rag like the Sun people will not treat it with respect. Most of the people on here know a great deal about Amir Khan and it would look LIKELY that he is not the type of person who would do this (I would almost guarantee he hasn't seeing as he was not 1 of the 4 arrested). Are the claims of people on here a little OTT? Well, yes they are but understandable? I think so, we have been burned by bull**** stories before and as you must understand, people coming from different backgrounds/experiences in life are going to see this different. If your a family man or suffered from an experience like the girl has said you're more likely to give the allegations credit and want them to be so public.

I believe the Sun shouldn't be able to print **** like this, and no talking to my MP won't help icemax, you know it and I know it.

The fact of the matter is I'm guessing about the veracity of the claims based on many other stories with the exact same outcome; George Best, Robin Van Persie, Cristiano Ronaldo, Johhny Evans et al. With those in mind, I am just getting pissed off with seeing stories like this in the media. If he is a ****** then he can burn in hell as far as I'm concerned- as can any other ***** who has ever beat a woman- but judging by what's become of it so far and the lack of weight behind the story, it looks like another attempt by some ***** with a gripe to smear someone and get some money out of it.

I think I've now made myself clear. I wish you all the best on your next tour, mate :good.

Lol, well you mislead me! Good luck in the mean streets of Yorkshire then ;). I genuinely have no beef with you or anyone else in the Brit forum, I just saw red when you made the assertion that somehow I endorsed domestic violence- I've witnessed firsthand what that can do to someone and it's no nice thing. All water under the bridge now though, I'm fed up with this thread now.
