I didn't take offence:good. The comment I made to start with was of course light hearted about the 3rd person-that said Hatton does overdo it! For a minute then I thought you'd had one too many pomegranate martinis
I'll have to get me smoking jacket and cravat on.... I wish Hatton would knock it on the head, but it seems to be habit he's really gotten into. Kerr had the right idea with DeGale, I wonder how long it will last with Chunky though?
I know what you mean, some people have habits like that eg.Michael Owen saying 'ya know' in every sentence or Manny Pacquiao starting every sentence with a long and deliberate 'rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr'.Also, scousers with their (in a squeaky tone)'iirrmmmmm' DeGale has an arrogant swagger like the stereotypical southerner IMO.Not sure about the 3rd person stuff though, seems as though AK set him straight:shock:
the americans really will not take to him. if he fights how he did against Kotelnik, then he has a boring overly cautious style and no power. also he is a muslim.
Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Hasim Rahman and Bernard Hopkins say hi. Also see the likes of Muhsin Muhammad of the Carolina Panthers and Rasheed Wallace of the Boston Celtics currently and legends like Kareem Abdul Jabbar historically.
As was already pointed out, unless he is going to exclusively fight Frank Warren fighters, talking to other promoters is somewhat of a necessary prelude to securing a fight. Of course, if you'd actually attributed the Sky Sports News story, or even quoted the previous sentence ("We are going to sit down with my promotion team and go through it. There's a few promoters we are speaking to about where we can fight, but I'd like to fight in the States - next fight or the one after") then that would have been obvious. But then you wouldn't have been able to put your fake spin on it...
