Khan to be Pacquiaos chief sparring partner vs Mayweather

should be alright but clearly not the best... it'll be a good way to stay sharpen up on speed but who do you think they'll use to mimic the defense and counter ability as PBF? This was discussed in another thread....

It's going to be incredibly hard to find somebody to match Floyd's defensive skills/style but if there's any fighter with similar hand speed to PBF, it's Amir Khan. Those things can FLY.

 

i think freddy will ask khan to imitate to his best ability rather than normal style but they will probably get someone else in as well

 

Speed & accuracy is all Khan can prepare Pacquiao for. Doesn't teach Pacquiao anything about breaking down the best defensive fighter around.

 

How bout guzman? He'd be perfect. I know he's tied to the mayweather's, but everybodfy has a price.

 

well its pretty much impossible to find someone who can emulate mayweather. the only possible way they could correlate any kind of sparring partners performance to that of mayweather's if is they simply get the best defensive fighter, and deduct 50% of the successful punches landed by pac and then amplify that over 12 rounds.

possibly a stupid analogy, but there's me 2 pence

Khan does mimic PBF in his lead jab to the body... jab and pull back... we'll be seeing lots of that with PBF....
khan will do his best to help his idol....

You're never going to find a sparring partner like PBF, just as you will never find a sparring partner just like Manny. That's why you see boxers use 2-3 sparring partners to try and emulate all aspects of the opponents game.

 

Guzman was chasing Pacquiao since they were both at 122. I doubt he would turn around and help these guys.
