Actually, Chris John is the WBA Super Champion at featherweight.

Gamboa is somehow also now a WBA Super Champion, though he is described as being a Unified Champ at featherweight.

The regular WBA belt held by Gamboa has now been given to Jonathan Victor Barros, a guy Gamboa beat in a title defence the fight before he was made Super Champion. :nut

If Jonathon Victor Barros wins another belt like the WBC or WBO, will he then become the third Super Champion at featherweight, with the WBA belt becoming vacant again? Probably, then they can have someone fight for the Interim belt and have 5 champions at the same time.

I know you're not 'flaming' Khan. What I'm saying is, when it makes good fights then why are you so concerned about it? I mean, it's hardly a bad thing now, is it?

From this, we get Khan/Peterson or Judah and then he goes on to unify while in the mean time we get Maidana/Ortiz II and the winner of that fights Khan.

maybe if the WBA would just admit they award super champion status to "noteworthy fighters based on prior achievements" IE: They're well known fighters, then they'd just be seen as assholes instead of stupid, greedy assholes.

 

wba are ****ing up all the divisions with this crap, they want to have more fights organized for their own ****ing belt.

 

One belt for each fighter in the division is the way forward.
