That wasn't Romanov at his best though, he'd been out of the ring for more than a year and the fight was very close.

Khan would bater him silly, it'd be like the Kristjansen fight.. they are the same sort of fighters.. look dangerous against old men

hes got a chance with his punch but thats about it.. he cant do much else

    khan TKO 5-8 rounds

Kristjansen didn't look dangerous against anybody you fool

    He had like 5 KO's

    You're comparing Romanov to Kristjansen?:lol::patsch.

Romanov has faced a way better standard of opposition. Kristjansan's best result was a draw against an ancient Stefano Zoff who Romanov clearly outpointed. Plus Romanov is technically much, much more sound than Kristjansan.

I haven't seen anything much of Romanov so I don't know who to choose - I'll see if I can find any vids/clips of him.

    **** romanov

i think there plenty of fighters who would beat khan but romanov aint one of them

look at thaxton in this fight hes an old man literally, his legs are gone.. hes like a worn out matress hes dead.. hes got nothing left man.. Michael Gomez is a more dangerous fight for khan than them two

that dont mean i think Gomez would beat Romanov.......

stylisticly Romanovs made for khan and Khans style is made for Gomez to expose, get inside and make it into a brawl like the hatton style

I definitely think Gomez is a more dangerous fight for khan than Thaxton or romanov would be

is that ment to be clever..

you want a round of applause

i aint gonna try and explain, "STYLES MAKE FIGHTS"

Michael Gomez is a one off.. hes a nutty fighter hell drag you into a war.. hes a crank you cant hurt him the way he fights is a bad style for khan coz he dont stop coming forward, hes like hatton.. just keeps walking forward

romanov takes his time picks his punches thats the sort of style that suits khan coz you give him time to breath

Gomez didnt give him time to breath which made him cause mistakes and panic

To be fair Bailey has a point. Romanov is obviously a much better fighter than Gomez, and I haven't seen much of Romanov but I'm pretty sure he's not a nutty pressure fighter like Gomez. Khan looks like the sort of guy who really can't handle pressure, but when he has time and can go on the offense he's much better.

All this analysis is very well, and I agree in essence that anybody puts pressure on Khan is his nightmare, but it only takes one well timed counter from Romanov, which he is easily capable of.

It will be lights out for Amir.

Romanov would beat Khan, he has a nice tight defence, good footwork and also has the power to shatter Khans jaw.

Wanted to see this fight ages ago, just can't wait for Khan to step up and fight some good proper fighters.

I'd go for a TKO for Romanov.

It doesn't need a crazy fighter like Gomez to unhinge Khan. Willy Limond proved that.

    yep.

    remember the limond fight.

limind wasn't giving much away and keeping it tight.

khan was struggling to get thru with good punches.

    that's the way romanov fights.

only he's got the armoury to pay khan for his mistakes. :bbb

Was fortunate to get the opportunity to go and see Romanov fight Thaxton at York Hall earlier this year.

I think he is world class and would definitely favour him to beat Khan.

If Khan were to fight him and win convincingly I'd be impressed.
