Warren fighters always take backward steps though - look at Kell Brook's next opponent on Boxrec atsch
Barrera would be acceptable and Cas would be sensational quality matchmaking. The 'legends' that Sports Network throw our way tend to be of the non punching, shot to **** variety. I'd be suprised if its Barrera.
How shot do you think Barrera is? I felt he looked good against Marquez, but well on his way to being shot against Pac - or maybe he just wanted to go the distance..... redemption and all that.
**** me it barrera. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/more-sport/2009/01/15/khan-v-legend-115875-21042261/ i think this is a huge step up for Khan. say what you want about him being shot, so what. khan struggled with a "shot" gomez, and barrerra is 1000 times the fighter Barrera is. great work from Warren. Barrera has only lost in recent years to two of the top 3 p4p and even at lightweight is a big puncher, punch is the last thing to go.
Looks like it is Barerra: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/more-sport/2009/01/15/khan-v-legend-115875-21042261/
I really hope it is, but won't believe it until I read an official statement from both camps. Just to change the subject a little, anyone know what's happening with Prescott? Warren has options on him does he not? After the KO victory over Khan you would think he would start looking to get himself into a world title opportunity, but he's fighting Ivan Hernandez who's lost 3 of his last 5/6 fights
all the khan haters have got to accept this is a big step up. warren has a 3 fight ppv deal with sky, and i think he needs big ratings to get it renewed. huge risk.
:admin Barrera must be shot to ****. There's no way that Warren allows Khan in the ring with a 'live' MAB
Warren doesn't care whether Khan sinks or swims in this one.... Khan doesn't attract enough people to continue PPV. He has to make him a star. Khan loses, Warren cleans his hand of him- and he's still got the olympians, Khan wins and a few people will start talking about him in a more positive light. Good work SN.
It does seem like a desperate move from Warren to be honest. For Barrera - I'm not so sure. I suppose a tune-up before a fight with Nate Campbell.....
