I'd agree with this. Realistically if Khan is going to fight Brook at the national stadium, it's not gonna be in March, and not until at least May. If Brook is still IBF boss then and the fight takes place at 147, Khan wouldn't be allowed to fight the IBF anyway as he's coming off a knockout loss.

If Brook vacates, then Avanesyan (who's is one of Brook's regular sparing partners so gives it a bit more of a back story) hold the WBA 'regular' title I believe. If Khan is to pick that belt up you can bill it as a world title bout.

 

I think Khan will go the WBC route and Garcia, the Brook fight will happen in Khan wants a huge payday, if he is happy to fight Garcia for probably less than a 1/5 of what he'd get for Brook then fine, nobody can force him.

I could see a one off catchweight and huge money fight between Brook and Khan even if Brook moves up to 154, maybe around 150. I actually think Brook would almost kill himself to make 147 for Khan though.

I just think Khan needs to do what he always should have done, keep his mouth shut, train, box regularly and let his performances do all the talking.

He opens his mouth and says the most ridiculous delusional things and then wonders why British fans and to be fair most boxing fans can't wait to see him knocked out.

 

Perhaps, one thing that I think is an X-factor that people don't discuss is Al Haymon's role.

One thing I'm pretty sure of is, whether Brook can make 147 well or not, Haymon would much rather Spence fight Jeff Horn for a vacant title in the USA in a 50/50 split, than send Spence on his travels in a 75/25 split against someone as good as Brook.

I think Haymon knows Khan is one cash out away from being pretty worthless and I think he might maneuver his troops to lure Brook away from the IBF title to free it up for Spence, and that's where Khan comes in with the offer for a super fight for Brook (maybe moving Garcia toward a unification with Thurman to so Khan's big fight outlook looks bleak).

It's hilarious that Khan seems to think simply by fighting big names that entitles him to big fight. Nevermind the fact that he always loses. He seems to think he deserves plaudits simply by getting in the ring while getting KTFO doesn't mean anything.

Add to the fact Avanesyan would most likely beat every Brook victim not named Porter and it's hilarious to see him being called a soft touch
