I am not the sole reason for him hiring Hunter. I merely had an influence on it. They reviewed, they chose. They don't know who I am, they just know I'm a person who has talked to them frequently on things and has given an email on his recommendation. They probably think I'm part of some sort of press.

I didn't randomly just email them saying "Hey Amir, you should go with Hunter cos he's got Andre Ward and he's good init". I explained, and again, I've been in touch with them for more than 2 years, so it's not like an absolute stranger just came out of the blue and said "Join blah blah", understand?

 

At least it's not like Rob saying he was influential in Haye-Wlad happening.

 

I never stated Khan was a banger ever i think, yes fast combinations yes Khan is good, i still think Khan chin is ok its his lack of defence which is the real problem.

I Khan still has the tools to do well at world level, if he can use and improve them is another question one we should find out in the next few fights.

having an influence on a world class boxers decision on which trainer to join is a big ****ing deal my man, that should of been something that was decided by them and maybe ODH and Bhop etc etc people like that, if they were taking into account what every tom dick and harry said about which trainer to join then it shows up his team and their common sense once again, they might think your press but they dont know for sure who exactly you are and you had influence on such an important decision reaks of unprofessionalism from team khan, them guys couldnt run a bath let alone a successful boxing career

he's a world class coach and has worked with many world champions, his training approach is well rounded too.

so,have khan hired hunter because he has trained ward for years and ward is the big name in boxing at this moment in time?
I have looked online to try and find out about hunter,not much there,who has he trained to become such a ATG trainer to everyone on here,serious question,i can't find much?
Im a great believer in the fighter makes the trainer,the fighter has the goods and the trainer sharpens them up.
So,my question -who is hunter,who has he trained to make him a superb trainer,im being honest,ive never heard of him before ward
