Lopez isn't a 154 fighter and his body doesn't stay at that weight - Why does everyone think Lopez will have bust his balls to make 144?

He is probaly walking around at the same weight as Khan or maybe less...

Different fighters make weight easier/harder - Lopez can decide for himself - he won't go into a fight like this with weight issues.

144 seems like an ideal weight for both Lopez & Khan if you ask me - as long Lopez hasn't remained fat/bulky after Canelo for some strange reason.

Lopez isn't a 154 pounder. It's not like he packed on serious muscle for Canelo to the point of no return. His ideal weight, and he's said so himself, is 147. So it's a difference of Khan's 7lbs vs Lopez's 4lbs. Not the biggest crime in the world to ask for that.

Not saying anything bad but after Floyd and Manny I think Khan is the most exciting fighter. Rios Mathysse Garcia are great but be real Garcia is boring as ****, and absolutely zero drawing power. For all the hype his KO power generated on ESP, His PPV sales even estimated against Judah and for Morales 2 were abysmal I think the profit made from tickets against Khan were total less than half a mill. Rios will eventually find a guy who will jab box and dance with himi all night like happened to Chavez Sr and it will be a rinse and repeat strategy against him for different fighters, boring, and Mathysse again no drawing power to the general public and not American. .

His drawing demographic is also very interesting. He's a British national/citizen by birth but big on family values, his faith (1.5 billion Muslims, and a lot coming up in both the American and Euro circuits, especially in Europe where immigrants tend to be downtrodden and more likely to go into such sports--he is drawing future generations of young Muslims like Pacquiao does to Filipinos to the sport--that's amazing moreso considering Muslims aren't a race but from a spectrum of races.), and draws a large number of American fans, many would argue more than the UK. For me he's goo dfor boxing. His personality aint too shabby outside the ring either. Between what Too Short told middle schoolers a ffew days ago and guys like Tyson and Holyfield Blowing away 150-300 mill in a career with at least 9 baby mamas between them, I'd say at 26 he's doing pretty ****ing well by any standard to today's youth.

Inside the ring is debatable. He showed a lot of improvements but still needs ring generalship more than anything. He doesn' think about boxing as a strategic game. From that weakness I think Hunter was a great trainer along with Richardson to choose.

People should look at what I wrote about Khan in pervious threads. I'm not a huge fan, but this really pisses me off. He beat Peterson my most commentators, cards etc. It was one of the worst judged fights I have seen in modern boxing along with Bradley Pacquiao. To add to it Peterson tested positive for PEDs.

What hurts the most is that fans want to see cheaters like Berto and Peterson who get a wrist slap and a year ban, back in the ring. No wonder the sport is a joke! It's a serious sport and taking PEDs is not only an unnatural advantage but a good way to end a boxer's career or life! And to top it off both those guys still got their asses kicked in the ring.

This is a dangerous fight. But Khan can take it. Toss up IMO. Lopez is relentless and a good combination puncher. Seeing as Lopez is more of an aggressor, I think they're going to go with Hunter's philosophy of "Anybody that tries to get to him is going to take a lot of punishment on the way in."

If Khan plans to move up, he might as well take a tune-up then go for this fight or stay at 140 and blame every upcoming loss to the weight forever. I'm not a fan of catchweight fights, either fight fairly at the given weight category or don't fight at all.

Thinking about it... isn't Peterson now allowed to use his illegal testorerone pellets since the IBF accepted the bull**** doctors note? Can he legally fight with his medically enhanced testerstone levels due to his falsely diagnosed 'low testosterone'?
