Strange, I thought he wanted Garcia rematch before moving up...

Why do you think he will move up? One name - Floyd Mayweather. I think there is definitely a deal in the works between these two. Too many reports been flying about that it's hard to dismiss any more.

Hardly surprising... I think everyone knew this was going to happen as soon as the WBC rated Khan as their #2 WW. :yep

To be fair, it's one of very few fights that are appealing any more. Mayweather/Canelo isn't happening any time soon, neither is Mayweather/Pacquiao, so who else is there that would bring as big a following as Khan in the 147 division? There is no one. We all know that Floyd is about the money, so I see this happening later in the year or at least beginning of next after Khan has fought someone at 147 and Mayweather has fought in September.

    Wants Alexander first!

Wants an immediate shot at a belt.

Doesn't deserve it. Maybe if he was a champ moving up...

Way too early for Khan.....he needs another tune up or 3 months of HARD sparring and tough love from Virgil Hunter if he is going to be remotely competitive against Mayweather.

Ironically, I think he would have fared better against Mayweather under Roach.

We will see Khan vs Devon Alexander first though and a Garcia rematch only if Garcia comes up to 147lb. Khan is still the bigger draw.

Amir says he will be stronger in 147, with a lot more power also. Maybe his chin may increase in strength.

It's been expected for a few weeks he's moving up to face Devon Alexander (light puncher), then if he wins he will cash out in a fight with Mayweather

i really dont think it is that much of a fight. Mayweather by KO anytime he really punches

Yeah Khan has elite level speed and May had a few problems with JUdah because of that but eventually hes going to find a home for a big shot weather it be a right hand or Khans kryptonite a left hook.

Khan is so fast his brain doesnt choose which shots he throws its just of muscle memory - Mayweather will just take him apart once he gets his timing down. Its not like Khan changes his speed up or down or uses much variety.

Khan needs at least another 3 maybe 4 fights fights under Hunter before he should be think about Mayweather. Unless Khan is planning to retire early (he cant keep getting wobbbled all over the show everytime he gets hit. It wont be doing his brain any good)

Sadly i think it will happend maybe early next year which will be far to early for Khan who doesnt seem to have adapted that well to Hunters style the flaws are all still there

Are you saying he deserves it less than Lee Purdy?

Hes moving up because he wants a crack at Floyd.

Hes only got another 2 years to get Floyd. Garcia will be around for a long time yet.

If Khan fights and beats Alexander, then he has a legitimate shot at getting Floyd
