The Canelo-Lara fight is what made Khan accept the Canelo fight.
Remember when the Canelo-Lara fight was made how those who DKSAB (ESB staff) all said that Canelo would KO Lara early and how Canelo was too big, too strong and too fast?

They were really wrong, weren't they?

I just rewatched the Canelo - Lara fight and scored it again 7-5 for Lara.

Canelo and GBP had to pay Levi Martinez to score that 117-111 scorecard because Lara CLEARLY exposed the guy who was supposed to be too big, too strong and too fast for Lara to even survive for more than a few rounds.

Now, Khan is no Lara, but like Lara, has the tools to make Canelo look just as average as Lara made him look. :smoke

In your words Lara clearly exposed a guy, yet you had the fight 7-5.

 are you bipolar or something?
So he exposed him, but at the same time clearly lost?
    What does even expose mean?

    Lara got his ass kicked.

Khan is going to get annihilated.

    And deservedly so.

    As I said, YDKSAB.

Two veteran judges had the bout a draw and one GBP paid judge had it an unbelievable 117-111, a SD, yet you say it was a CLEAR win?

    STFU you dunce! :smoke

Lara beat Canelo's head 4:1 with Canelo barely laying a glove on him and a dunce like you call that an ass kicking.

You must be a Donald Drumpf voter.

That video gave Khan the confidence that he too can beat Canelo and he may be right. :smoke

I truly doubt that fight had anything to do with his decision.

    Takeaways from this:
    1. Khan does not have Lara's skillset, at all
    2. Lara is a naturally bigger guy and can take harder shots at the weight
    3. Khan's offense is jab, cross, hook.....move in or out in a straight line,
    4. Lara has a much more varied offense (when he focuses on it)
    5. Lara is a southpaw (the shots come from a different angle)
    6. Khan has shown he can't move an entire fight and will be eventually dragged into a firefight.
    7. Lara has shown he can move for 12 rounds and stick to a gameplan.

You can add these traits Khan and Lara share, relative to Canelo.

    1) Both have much better ring generalship than Canelo. (So did Mayweather)

    2) Both possess much faster hand speed than Canelo. (So did Mayweather)

    3) Both can use Mayweather's strategy against Canelo.

Those two traits can enable Khan (like Mayweather and Lara) to defeat Canelo.

Canelo is basic and a flat footed plodder.
If you stand in front of him or against the ropes (like Kirkland) Canelo will shine. But if you have superior ring generalship as Khan does, Canelo has a lot of problems cutting off the ring and fighting his game plan.

I would off a ban bet but you no doubt have more than 1 alts and wouldn't honour it anyway.

But if you want 6 month bet, if Khan wins I disappear. If Canelo wins you **** off.

Why not when Khan specifically stated he decided to pursue the fight after reviewing videos of Canelo's past fights. In fact, although Hunter advised Khan to avoid Canelo, he changed his mind after watching the videos together with Khan. :smoke

Because he thought "well I've just been bullied and rocked off Chris 'hands of stone' Algeri, so I will definitely put a beating on Canelo.

 I don't love ESB anywhere near enough to have more than one nick. The Professor bans me every two weeks for two weeks at a time. In that down time I am nowhere to be found on the site.

I never said that Khan would definitely win the fight, but I'm not so dumb as many ESB'ers (The same having Canelo KO'ing Lara in 2) to be so sure that the fight won't be competitive.
Where Canelo-Lara was a 50/50 fight, I estimate Canelo-Khan is a 60/40 fight. If Khan were a natural Jr. MW like Lara, I would have it much closer. :smoke

Khan does not have good ring generalship. He constantly falls from his game plan because of his poor composure and instincts.

Khan is an even more basic fighter than the fat-legged Ginger.

Canelo is a bigger and better fighter, more skills, and will handle Khan quite easily.

Watch afterwards, people are going to try to act like it was a big deal for Canelo to beat up Amir Friggin Khan, and go "look at all the threads of people saying Khan would be too fast for him!"

Blah. Just get this out of the way and make the GGG-Canelo fight later this year, the fight most of us want to see and that is good for the sport.
