khan has ruled out a barrera rematch. and it looks like they're trying to get a fight on with david diaz next in june, which would be a good next opponent i think. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/boxing/article2363591.ece
Are they sure they don't want someone slower? Maybe it will help if there's a stipulation in the contract that Diaz has to have his shoe laces tied together, that way Roach and Warren can be sure. Seems wise.
The problem with Khan is that any opponent in the top ten(Barring Marquez and Juan Diaz) is good for him but on the flip side they're all BAD for him. Every big fight now for him is a dangerous one for him and one that involves a big risk. Unfortunately I just cant see how he can go so many fights against the top guys without his chin being his undoubted undoing. Maybe he can maybe avoid punches against a couple but not 3,4,5 of them
a winnable fight for khan. but then again, if david diaz connects his punches to that glass, BOOM!!! its over
He is a really good LW, the problem is his chin... really hard to make it to championship level when you have such a suspect chin in a division that is really deep.
Looks like Khan seriously believes he won that fight like it was a fair clear win, I wouldn't be surprised if he even says the cut came from a punch. Not surprised though, in a desperate situation like this any win would be hugged like it's a career defining victory. After all Barrera is the only name he can mention on his record and we all know what happened recently as he was stretched out on the canvas under one minute. David Diaz gets destroyed in this one, I get mixed up a lot between Juan and David. If it's David then Khan takes it, if it's Juan(seriously doubt) then Khan gets destroyed. Of course they will pick David, he's the type they're looking to pad that record with till everyone worth mentioning is 40 years old. To make it simple, this is the Calzaghe route but a bit more publicised.
