Valero is badly overrated, who has he beaten? for me it a 50-50 fight Valero got power, Khan got speed and height Valero 5'6 Khan 5'10.
Yeah I know where your coming from mate but Valero is very very fast and Khans defence isnt great. I know he's improving it but still. He would never hold off Valero for 12 rounds and will never knock him out. It's disaster all day for Khan IMO. I do know what your saying though. In a couple of years when he's used to getting hit off a genuine L/Weight (he's not fought enough of these so far) and his defence is far better then maybe.... But not this year or next for me.
Yeah I dont think frank will let the fight happen anyway, The sound of vacant WBO looks like the route Frank will take I feel.
Ya i bet Frank will be able to make that Diaz fight for the WBO belt somehow. Then we'll have to hear about this chump being a world champion. Then it'll be a couple of years of handpicked defences.
Good fight in all honesty for Khan if its made.. a top ten lightweight. Prescott rematch wont prove squat about Khan, it may only prove that Prescott was a lucky puncher.
Don't see why people are hating on Khan if this fight gets made to be honest, i think David Diaz is a good test for Khan, while obviously being quite a winnable one.
Good fight for Khan, Good fight for D. Diaz. Great comeback for Diaz, & good look (Should he win) for Khan. + Amir get's to show his skills Vs. a rugged southpaw. (+ Diaz punching power should allow Khan to work a lil' more without that much fear)
That's a risky choice but for high reward. I personally never ranked Diaz in the LW top5 as he was lucky to fight Morales as a full champ when Casamayor was stripped and recieved a gift vs. Erik. But he's still a legitimate top15 LW, who can fight (Morales) and punch (Santa Cruz) really well, and as he spent most of his career at LWW, he's physically much stronger than Marco Antonio Barrera, Amir's last opponent. In fact, Breidis Prescott is the only other fighter in Khan's career who outweighed the young gun on fight night, and look what happened. So as I've said, risky fight but for high reward, and Roach probably knows everything about David, and that's an important factor too. But most importantly, it's a VERY EXCITING match-up, with Khan and Diaz, you can always expect memorable action. Put them together, and it's fight you should watch no matter what.
Khan is scared of a Barrera rematch and wants Pacs left overs. Khan vs Oscar Larios is next after DDD
David has a good chance, he's bigger than MAB and will absorb alot of Khans punches to land his. Provided he's not blind, he should get to Khans chin. Khan UD but I wouldnt rule out that KO. Good opponent for Khan at this stage, hopefully next is a title belt.
People were already doubting Khan before the first Barrera fight, defo no benfits to be had in a rematch.
i'll be very surprised if warren allows that. khan has gained a degree of marketability back now and warren's not about to risk that at the top end. expect an arduous milking compaign to resume.
