Julio must have been based out of Cali for a long time.

    English is perfect.
    Seems a cool guy.

Diaz I thought he beat Shawn Porter in his last fight, this for some reason was turned into a catch weight bout even though Khan has moved up and is ranked #2 by the WBC at welter weight.

Why the catch weight? Obviously Khan has a bit of concern this is obviously a stiffer test than his last outting.

I think Khans speed will carry him but if he shows the same Bull**** he shown last time out Diaz has a solid chance to win it. I have not seen an ounce of improvement during Khans last fight.

So to me if he doesnt have a few new tricks added to his game he is getting beat...

Or, obviously, Khan is still staying at LWW if he's still looking to get a shot at Garcia.

Correct me if I'm wrong but a possible Garcia rematch won't happen till 2014 right?.....Khan has to really be on top of his weight cause he will eventually outgrow 140 pound division, if he isn't already starting to now....

I think Schaefer mentioned matching Khan with the winner of this 140 tournament (who Khan is hoping for it to be Garcia) at the end of 2013. But if not 2013, then yes, it'll probably take place early 2014. To which Khan, I should think, will have no problem with. He weighs no more than 150 on fight nights. Compared to other guys in the same weight class -- Matthysse (154), PEDerson (155), Alvarado (159?) and Rios (161) -- he's one of the lighter LWWs, I think.

But with that said, you could be right. Maybe over the past year or so he could have been outgrowing. Who knows. How he looks against Diaz will give us a better understanding of where he's at. One thing I do remember, though, is that Virgil once said he wants Khan to remain at 140 for the time being. I think he prefers for him to naturally grow into 147, as opposed to forcing him up there (like his team were trying to do when they had their sights on Mayweather).

Honestly the biggest difficulty I see for Khan is him keeping his motivation. It kind of sucks to have beat guys like Malignaggi, Kotelnik, Maidana, been cheated my Peterson and KO'd by Garcia then to fight less well known guys. He already seems trained and conditioned for a fight 3 weeks away

I hope they aren't using Angulo as a sparring partner to mimick 'pressure'. I hope Virgil is teaching him lots.

It is Angulo that was sparring with him, you can tell by the blurry picture, same reddish shirt, and the weird thing wearing at the waist

But you don't think it is a good thing sparring with Angulo?

It is a good thing but i hope they aren't taking advantage of Angulo. I hope Virgil Hunter is spending the same amount of time with him as he does his other fighters.

GBP,WBC, and Showtime want Mayweather-Khan this is gearing towards that, its all about numbers and Mayweather-Khan would do numbers..

Again Khan in same place, 2 fights away from a possible Floyd fight can he win his 2 fights this year?
