As Amir Khan's team seem less and less likely to secure a fight for the WBA champ it seems increasingly likely that Khan will be forced to pair off against old adversery Michael Gomez. Gomez has drifted into unlicensed boxing since retiring after his bout with current WBO super featherweight champ Ricky Burns so it looks likely that this fight will take place outside the jurisdiction of the BBBC. Gomez's camp are apparently keen that the bout is a bare knuckle affair and it is rumoured that the fight may take plan in a layby close to the M25. Negotiations are ongoing at the moment but it remains to be seen if Khan's team are prepared to put up enough cash to lure Gomez into the ring. This would appear to be a risky manouvere by team Khan as their Golden Boy was floored by Gomez back in 2008, however at this stage it looks like they are running out of options...
Team Khan have brought this sarcasm on themselves. Offer decent money, stop negotiating through the media and stop getting guys hopes up...
