Looks like this is the fight:twisted:

Its a travesty to boxing that Khan is going to fight a very SHOT Michael Gomez. This is another Khan fight that will prove jack ****.

i normally back Khan up, but this is truly disapointing. At least a good servent to British Boxing gets a pay day. Surley fighting Thaxton would of been better, at least the british title is on the line.

At least there will be fireworks in the build up, even if the fight flops. Gomez is always an obnoxious git in run ups to fights.

I can understand why some Khan fans may be disappointed with Gomez as his next opponent.

Expectations had been raised that Khan had gone beyond domestic and, indeed, euro level.

After the Kristjansen fight Warren was quoted as saying now that Khan was the No. 1 contender the likes of Romanov weren't on the radar!

I'm made up that mike has got the fight.

He deserves it and I'll be behind him. (shot or not)

PS I think Mike has something left deep down in the basement.

Yep. Dangerous fighters are not on Khan's radar.

I hope you are right Jeff!

But can't see it to be honest. Gomez gassed against Johanneson, who himself could be considered a gasser - therefore logic tells you that Khan will prevail. It will be his sternest examination though, perhaps the first genuine war he has been in.

Wanting it doesn't make it so.

I saw Gomez fight Johanneson at Donny last year and Michael was completely blown mid third round. The only way that Gomez wins is by a very early (1st round) KO. The man is a proper fighter and will come to fight but I don't think that he has got it in him anymore....to be quite honest I fear that he could actually get hurt badly.

Once again Warren has demonstrated his complete disdain for the British fight fan by wheeling out Gomez and calling him a step up for Khan.....its a disgrace, and nearly an all time low for this snake oil operator.

It should be entertaining while it lasts, but I see Khan taking over after the initial onslaught and smashing his way to a mid-rounds stoppage.

Worst case scenario is that Khan blasts him out Earl-style, which is also a possibility. No one has ever questioned Khan's offence, and if he trades with Gomez, and his chin holds ok, then it could be over in round 1 or 2.

Either way Khan wins, and the boys from ITV get down on their knees once again to suck the balls of the "new Sugar Ray Robinson".

To be honest, I think part of the reason for the Gomez fight is because of ITV. Frank is less than enamoured by their decision to stage the St. Clair fight late on - and the fact that they moved sharply to take on the bill being put together by Mick Wideboy will have done the old ego no good whatsoever.

Basically, two fingers to you - you ****ers. I'm taking my bat and ball to Setanta, and see the fan get ripped off again.

Totally wrong, but hey, if you can get away with it.

Yep. I was in Doncaster that night to see Johannesson fight Gomez. Great night and great fight. I know what you mean by Gomez being blown by the fourth but hopefully he will get a chance to land a few of those punches and uppercuts on Khan that he did on Carl, if Khan comes through that then he will have eraned abit of respect. Like most people are saying it all depends on how much Gomez has left, I personally think he will have enough for six rounds and will hope to force Khan out in between the second and fifth.

Gomez is a step up from the likes of St-Clair and Kristjansen, at least he comes to fight and will want to test Khan instead of just collecting a stack of cash. Khan is still a domestic standard fighter, sometime soon he may move up to fight guys on the fringe of Euro class.

Both chins are ****, but I don't believe Khan's chin is any worse than Johannesons.

The way Carl was dropped by Gogoladze was unbelievable, it beat Limond hurting Khan, and Khan getting dropped in the amateurs. Carl was really f*cked from a guy who didn't punch. And Johanneson couldn't handle Kirakosyan twice - now if Khan was fighting him I could understand some saying Khan's getting KO'd. Plus Mitchell stopped him last time.

BUT even with all those times his chin has shown weakness, Johanneson handled Gomez's punch and Carl fights and gets hit a lot, Khan boxes and occasionally get hits.

Gomez doesn't stand a chance in this fight.

How can anyone think Gomez is a step up from St Clair. A prime Gomez would have lost to St Clair, and also have lost to Khan.

Gomez just comes forward he has nothing else, its great to watch but he was never going to win a world title. He may have the power to troble Khan, but he will probably not land ****. This is going to be embarrasing for Michael.

Its like Hatton vs Mayweather again people thinking with there heart instead of there head.
