News breaking on UK channels that Khan v Malignaggi is on for the US as Khan's next fight.

I'm disappointed that Roach would choose Malignaggi as I think it'll be another 76 second demolition job for Kahn. I was seriously hoping for a slightly sterner test.

No way would Khan get rid of Malignaggi as quickly as he did Salita.

Khan is not a big puncher at all, he's fast and accurate but not that powerful. And if there's one thing Malignaggi has, it's a very good chin.

It's not a bad fight. He's in there against somebody with decent technical skills who will take him the distance.

It is saying that his first defense could be against Malignaggi not that its confirmed. They had Roach on earlier to talk about the Mayweather Pac fight and he said right at the the end thats who he was hoping for in MSG.

You dont think Paulie is a stern test? Have you watched his last 2 fights?

Paulie duked it out with cotto. Why would khan suddenly blow him away,
I would pick khan to win, but not like that

My 76 second pun was just that, tongue in cheek.

I agree I think he'd last longer, but I still don't see him getting beyond 5 rounds.

It's a reasonable fight, I agree, and it makes sense in respect of the profile a win over Malignaggi would give Kahn in the USA - and I see that as the only reason Roach has opted for him (other than his featherweight punching).

    First instinct
    Malignaggi can outbox him.

Paulie stood toe to toe with Cotto more or less and took a beating from him and Hatton, no way does that fraud Khan KO him early or any ****

I was wondering that. Given how highly he thinks of Floyd, I'd almost expect him to in a show of solidarity since he's going against another Roach fighter.

A year ago I'd have agreed, but I don't see it now. The Roach tactics and training have brought too much to the table now in my opinion. He is a long long way from the finished article, but I don't see Paulie outboxing him.

I was one of the people who thought Cotto was damaged goods a long time ago - and I maintain that. Malignaggi deserves huge credit for that fight, but I don't think he was fighting the boxer a lot of Cotto fans would like to think he was.

I think this is a good fight for Khan. As much as I hate Paulie, hes a solid boxer with good skills and a pretty tough chin.

I see this one going the distance with Khan winning a competitive fight.
