Lost millions on building a wedding venue in Bolton and other failed investments. Talks in his book about realising he’d wasted it all after the Canelo fight and how the last 5 years of his career were all about getting money back into the bank.

Sounds like his family ran his finances so I’d be asking questions if it all disappeared.

This is true. Towards the end of his career, he couldn’t stay out of trouble in a fight. His last good performance was against Devon Alexander, when on a night that he actually managed to box to orders for the full 12.

Could have been so much better and successful. I couldn’t believe it when he lost to Danny crappy Garcia.

The wedding venue project sounds like an absolute shambles. It amazes me how people can be so crap with their finances.

Exactly why I loved a khan fight. Cruising along brilliantly but one punch the other way ( this time on the neck not the usual chin) and the fight changes dramatically. Good to watch

No doubt he was probably the most exciting boxer in the world for a few years, but because of the unnecessary risks he kept taking he achieved far less than he could have. Great entertainment though.

Yea that's what I meant. He was also capable of winning with style against lesser opponents and totally overwhelming them.

Also worth remembering that he was unlucky to come up against one of the greatest amateurs ever in the 2004 Olympic final at only 17 otherwise he would have won gold.

He lost that fight before it started. Angel Garcia beat him in the mind games. He was rattled at the pre fight press conference.

I remember that now you mention it and Garcia Snr is such a knobhead so it’s not that surprising, plus he also thought Garcia would be an easier fight for him compared to Peterson, which had fallen through just a few weeks earlier. The Garcia camp never had any interest in a rematch which spoke volumes. Big upset at the time.

Would have been a 1 sided massacre.

Completely different levels. 1 is a all time great 8 weight divisions the others best win was a win over maidana he barely survived then who kotelnick lol.

    Khan was so overrated

Still cant get my head round why they let people invest their money.

Keep it. Your rich already. Sometimes you,ve got to learn rich is a much better alternative than a gamble between richer or skint. Silly when you think about it.

Wedding venue is due to open this month.

"Step into a world of natural beauty and elegance. The Balmayna boasts a stunning floral garden theme, seamlessly blending nature’s charm with contemporary design. The highlight is our real-life waterfall feature within the hall, creating a truly magical atmosphere."

It's literally on an industrial estate. My bet is that it's closed by the end of the year but good luck to him. I'm sure the intention was to integrate a lot of local Pakistani businesses (catering, events, car hire etc) and give something back to the community. I'd imagine Khan is kept afloat by wealthy friends at this stage. The Pac fight if it ever happens will be about promoting Asian sport and paid for out of Turki's sport promotional fund. Seems sensible for Pac after such a long lay off, an easy fight for him with a just about still credible name.
