Cancelling the entire event? It's unfair on the undercard fighters who won't get paid, their trainers, people who booked flight tickets, hotels etc. Basically, millions have been lost in revenue because of this decision.

Best thing would have been to go ahead with the fight, AK gets the belt back and it becomes a non-title fight.

No surprise, But I read on a Ring Magazine article that said it was medically prescribed, Not sure about this, many mixed feelings.

The undercards can't sell by themselves. Petersen will be getting a ban most probably, so it can't go on. What they should do is get another fighter to replace pete. Can they get anyone credible at such short notice

HBO needs to change their slogan...
"Only the best fight here" to "only the best decide to fight here but then chicken out, or roid out like PEDerson"...thats two months with no HBO boxing(dawson vs hopkins does NOT count)

Long time boxing fan, and Eastside lurker, finally decided to bite the bullet and join!

Unlikely someone else at short notice for a title fight (although that's how Pac made his career....). Even if Peterson gets the ban, let him fight, withhold some of his purse and let him at least explain himself.

Don't forget that his second sample tested negative so he wasn't actually on PED's for the second fight. It's such a shame for him and his family really, I think he put everything into the second training camp only for this to happen. If he did cheat then he deserves everything, if it was medically prescribed then he should be given the benefit of the doubt. If it was Khan, GBP would be in full PR assault mode and the fight would have still happened.....

It won't happen because Marquez wants a southpaw to fight.

Very disappointed. Everything about PEDerson has stunk since the ref started taking points off Khan for pushing

The chance of his titles being handed back and the guy that beat him shown up as a drugs cheat. What a loser Khan is!!

I didn't like the crying and bitching much either, but hey...it looks like it'll work out for him. This might not have come to light without that insistence on a rematch.

I take it you don't count Mayweather among your "good" fighters? Anyway, Khan is probably too big for Marquez.
