This, i had a feeling this might happen last night when thay had a clip of him talking about the Peterson fight, also he was on Ringside a couple of weeks ago.Next two fights on Sky Sports then a Mayweather ppv would make sence.

Deffo wont be PPV, **** all people would pay to see khan v peterson at that time in the morning...probably as other have stated a build up to khan v Mayweather.

Khan would probably make more money ppv even at that time. It's east coast so that makes it slightly better timewise.
All the talk of fighting on a subscription channel to help build up to Mayweather is off the mark. If you want to build awareness, give it to a terrestrial channel for free and get the mass audience watching.
But in truth it won't matter anyway. If Khan fights Mayweather on Sky Box office or Primetime it will go great business. It will be an 'event fight' like Hatton Mayweather or One of Haye,s recent fights where people feel it's must see tv. And all of the mainstream media will be promoting it so casuals as well as sports and hardcore boxing fans will watch.

do we know what the buys were for judah,70000 for the mcclosky fight were ****,he needs sky,he always as.

primetime dangled the carrot but couldent or can't deliver.

Alot of ppl claimed Khan burnt his bridges with sky.

Clearly this is not the case but I wont be paying £15 for this fight

The bridges were never totally burnt as SSN still covered his fights on primetime. He was still invited on Ringside etc!

For Team Khan to be even considering Sky Sports would suggest that the Judah fight didnt do the PPV numbers they thought it would.

Team Khan know what they need SKY to maximize a PPV with Floyd and SKY want to make their share from the fight too

    no source. no quote.

  12. Pretty much what Rob said.

    All baseless conjecture.

Khan will want the money from Sky that a potential Mayweather fight will bring.... so it would make long term sense to bite the bullet and be a pauper like the rest of the fighters on ''regular'' Sky.

Khan vs Floyd could potentially exceed half a million buys, on Primetime they'd be lucky to do half that unless their advertising machine improves out of sight in the next year.

I do worry though that Khan might be looking a bit too far ahead - Hatton had both eyes on Floyd from late 2005 and nearly came acropper twice, against Collazo and taking the fight whilst ill against Urango.
